No real experience, just memory of one my neighbor had. They had a red one, remember it looking really cool for the time. Was supposed to be a quick car for the era.

I had one for a while, had repeated ignition control module issues. shame, I liked the car, wound up scraping it.

Your thinking of the Regal T type, with the turbo 3.8, the LeSabre is fwd with an na 3800, no performance...

We had one when I was a kid. I really liked it and have looked at them several times through the years. Definitely a unique car, nice styling compared to a standard LeSabre. Oddly, the thing I remember most was the cassette tape holder it had in the center console. Almost like a cash register, it had slots that popped open to hold the cassettes (without their cases). You would dial up which one you wanted and it popped open to give you the cassette. I remember that we traded it on a Jeep Cherokee in the early 90's because my mom got swept up in the growing SUV craze and suddenly had to have a 4X4. Don't know how she ever made it thru her previous probably 20 winters driving front wheel drive cars. My dad was an Oldsmobile man, and we always had Toronado's.
I also always liked the forward opening hood on that era LeSabre's. It may "just" be an N/A 3.8, but that powertrain is still very reliable and not a "dog" by any means.[This message has been edited by 85pontiac (edited 10-01-2016).]
