Custom rear swaybar test (Page 1/1) La fiera AUG 26, 10:48 PM I removed the stock swaybar and installed a Neuspeed 29mm swaybar and it was ok on the streets but at the track the car behaved like the stock swaybar, very bad understeer. And the higher the speeds the worse it got. Like with my Fiero I had to make my own parts to make the car handle the way I wanted and make the power goal I've set, I did the same with my Abarth. Made my own 32mm Cro-Moly swaybar to cure my problem and this is the result. First picture has the fastest time last year with the Neuspeed 29mm bar. Second picture has the fastest time this year with the my 32mm bar. Same track and same weather. The main reason the times dropped that drastically was because now with this bar I can pin point where I want the front of the car by rotating its rear end. This set up also allowed me to make good use of the left foot braking technique to steer the car at the fast and slow corners. Now my problem is power. The brakes are mindbogling but at 4800rpms the turbo looses efficiecy and I'm a sitting duck with only 160BHP In my clase my competition has me by 4 seconds per lap, so I think with a nice tune and some lightweight upgrades I can be more competitive.
