Pre production test run Delorean Hotwheels Boulevard (Page 2/2)

After a too long stay in storage these are back on hand. Psew. They and all my other cars have been boxed away at Nannas house. Im very glad to have them all back.

Also I now have the preproduction, 4 mint carded cars and 1 mint loose car to go with.

Just the regular production cars are worth a few bucks. We have no way of knowing how many were made, Hotwheels propietary secret. I can see they are getting scarce though.

Im trying to find a good priceline with not much luck, any suggestions would be great!

TYVM and Happy Halloween!

Finally found something similar, a seller on ebay has listed a hotwheels proto porsch 911 for, brace yourselves, $199.98! Its a pretty cool car but its no Delorean.

Id post the link but I havent figured out how yet, Im on a android phone. Perhaps someone could post the link for me?

My apologies, posting from a cell can be a real PITA!

If you hold down on the link long enough with your Android, you will get the website. It will ask paste, copy, etc. That is how you linkey for smart phones.

Good luck with some really cool pieces.

my opinion is they should have a polished luster to represent the OEM finish on the bare metal...not painted.

I also seen some prototypes in your links going for $2.00. If you really want to sell them, start with something YOU consider fair for you and let it go on EBay. Like you say, much larger market. Just like a real classic car, there really is no sale value.....its worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

TYVM for your input and opinion Roger.

Quick wiki link explaining the Deloreans paint..or lack of.

http://hotwheels.wikia.com/wiki/ZAMAC

IMO this finish is about as cool as HW could make it. The ZAMAC cars have a niche all their own in the collectors world. Combine that with the fact that its a Delorean and they are really great pieces.

Ive only seen 5 or 6 on ebay and a few others around the web for sale of just the production cars, nevermind pre production cars. We can only guess how many HW made. We can however get a good idea how many are for sale that are obtainable. That is to say, cars you or I could purchase. I couldnt realistically search every ToysRUs or the like.
