I used to work at St. Angelo Buick / GMC in E. Providence doing oil, tires, inspections etc to start. Went way overboard buying tools, but had 1/2 off from Snap-on after attending MTTI school in RI. Probably the worst work experience I've ever had.. Couldn't wait to get out of there - was told later the owners were just bleeding out as much $$ as they could before selling, which they did not too long after. 'The customer is always wrong!' Their dad (former owner) was there every day complaining about everything (you're putting too much gas in the new cars for test driving! Ran out of gas on a test drive the next day!) while supervising the daily detailing of his '90s Buick station wagon.
Anyway... I'd offer to sell mine but still get more use out of them working on my car than I did working there.. I bought Craftsman sockets on sale rather than Snap-on, and they're still going strong. I will say the 'pro' tool chests at Harbor Freight feel about as good (if not better) than my Snap-on chest. For most of the jobs I had there, a couple good ratchets, socket sets, breaker bars, and especially long extensions and flexi joints were enough. These days I mostly go to my cordless drill and Milwaukee right-angle adapter (with socket adapter insert) over the air ratchet. Usually quicker and more torque, so long as it fits.
Good luck with the start of a hopefully prosperous and rewarding career! Make sure to stay away from places run by bigger tools than you use!

Sadly I had the same experience as Riceburner, I paid off my box (only thing I got from Snap-on, half off, well worth it) and it's now filled with tools in the cubby beside my house, so now I do side jobs after working my 7-6 shift.
Thanks for the help
