I am building a 1928 Model A roadster with a SMC and a 4-speed. There is a build thread here somewhere. Be sure to check your years though. The Model A was built 1928-1931. 1932 was the Model B and very different (and much more pricey) than a Model A.
Also, you can narrow the years of Model A you want by understanding the significant differences between the years (there are many differences, but there are two key differences). Generally, 1928 and 29 are considered more or less the same and 1930 and 31 are the same. 28-29 has the "coach lines" that come down from the a-pillar and 30-31 are smooth (more like a 32 ford). Also, 30-31 have a much taller grill-shell.
I got my body from Brookfield Roadsters. They offer a sedan body too. IF that is not what you are looking for, check out the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona, there always seems to be build-able iron there. And lastly, Amber wanted to do an early hot-rod syle Model A. She found it much cheaper to buy a complete original car and modify it (actually, her entire car was cheaper than just my body... and hers was running when she got it).
