Fairing Gone...New Price!!!!
I'm selling my '07 Kawasaki Nomad. She has about 16,300 miles. (Miles will increase as I still ride occasionally.) If you know Nomads, you know that they're capable of 100,000+ miles so she's just getting broken in. She's black and has a multitude of modifications. She runs well and has just had a fresh oil change (Rotella T6 synthetic with a K&N filter) and a fresh coolant change. Couple minor scratches but no dents/dings. Includes 2 Grasshopper backrests (solo and 2 up). I bought her last September but lots of hours at work means that I don't ride her nearly enough. Time for her to move on to a home where she can be enjoyed. I have a clear title and don't need to sell but I'm tired of looking at her sitting in my garage. She has good tires/brakes but I will include a complete set of Sixity sintered brake pads. New Speed Bleeders for the brakes have been installed and the brakes have been bled/flushed. (Speed Bleeder for the clutch comes with the bike but has not been installed yet.)
There are Nomads that go cross country so this would do well for either long distances, day trips or around town.
I believe I'm the 3rd owner. The previous owner kept the bike in a climate controlled airplane hanger and I keep it in my garage.
The 1 1/4" handlebars are custom made and painted black. They're taller with more pullback than stock and are MUCH more comfortable. (You're more than welcome to take the stock bars if you want. No wiring has been cut.) There are Kuryakyn ISO grips with throttle assists on both sides (for symmetry) as well as a Kewl lock helmet lock on the end of the right bar.
There are of course the requisite spot lights. There are Harley front turn signals. These are wired up so you have turn and running lights for better visibility. (Stock Harley only has turn lights.)
The only engine mods are a custom machined open intake (with a K&N filter), Vance & Hines Fuel Pak fuel processor and Vance & Hines Dual Bagger exhaust. There are custom machined baffles (Ultimate Baffles) installed. (I have the stock V&H baffles but they've been cut.) The pipes are loud but don't sound ragged. Twist the throttle and HANG ON! I'll include the stock exhaust (with catalytic converter) as well as the stock intake if you want them.
I'll try to list most of the other mods:
-Custom mounted license plate with LED turn signals built in. -Chrome bag racks. -Chrome saddlebag guards. -Grasshopper backrest (one for solo and another for 2 up riding). -Highway pegs. -Kuryakyn shifter covers. -Chrome rear brake master cylinder cover. -Original owners manual and stock Nomad windshield will come with the bike. -Idaho jack adapter. Here's the story on this. The Vulcan (Nomad/Classic) motors sit lower than the frame which means it's very unbalanced on a jack stand. This adapter bolts on to the frame rails and gets sandwiched in between the frame and the jack. Solid as a rock.
I can send pics and video upon request.
I removed the HD fairing yesterday and reinstalled the OEM windshield/headlight assembly. Still books at about $7500. I'd take $6k the way it sits. The intake, fuel processor and exhaust cost $1200 alone. There's still time to ride. Don't let this super deal get away. If you buy the bike and you're interested in either the fairing, tour pak or both, we can haggle then.[This message has been edited by Monkeyman (edited 09-03-2012).]

I know someone that may be interested. I'll point 'em in this direction and let them take it from there if they're interested.

Thanks. Assuming they live near you, they're more than welcome to drive/ride up and take a look at it. It's dirty from riding but it's gonna rain all weekend so it'll be cleaned up this weekend.

I might be interested in a trade if you are, pending pics & condition of course. But would you be interested in an 88 GT with 47000 miles auto, new tires? I'm really wanting a Harley but this might work. Car is stock, needs paint on top, no rust. runs great, daily driver - no issues. I just got it and moved to a house where i will not have garage room, but a bike will fit in the garage. LMK Dennis
