2000 Suzuki GSX600F Katana
Price is OBO, I'll haggle w/ ya
34,xxx miles (Odometer reads ~9xxx, the entire guage pod has been replaced is why), purchased w/o an odo, but the title said 29,xxx when I went to title in my name, and I have seen nothing to indicate that was wrong.
Engine top end was nearly spotless when I checked the valve clearances (all in spec, so I suspect this engine has been maintained well even before I got it. It definitely runs like it.)
"Street fighter" style - no fairings, I bought it this way
Clean IN title in hand
Reliable (daily rider)
Fuel effecient (40-45 mpg)
Front tire is new this season, should last at least 2 more if its condition is any indication
Rear tire might make one more season
Idles smooth, revs smooth, starts easy, shifts clean
Loud with R6 muffler dumped right off the collector
Pretty quick. 600cc supersports will out run you, but the Katana is Sport Touring (more sport than touring, but more touring than a GSXR).
Seat recovered with extra padding
Handlebars on 3" riser, plus motocross style bars for a more upright seating position
Pretty comfy, more so than the supersports

The only thing not working is the fuel guage, but it has the normal on/prime/reserve on the shut-off valve, so run on "on" until it quits, switch to reserve to get to a gas station. Guage can likely be fixed with a new sending unit. That is the ONLY thing that does not work.

Selling because I want to fix my Magna and ride a cruiser instead of a sporty type bike. Otherwise I've enjoyed it a lot - you are not buying someone else's problem, I've put more than 4000 miles on this bike to shake it down. She's not pretty I guess, but it's got it where it counts, especially at this price point

When was this and why didn't you stop and say 'hi'??

If I was in the market for a bike, I'd shoot you an offer, but I'm not right now. Good luck with the sale, though!

Didn't know that was your area
Funny thing was i missed a turn and ended up doing 10 miles on gravel! It was 500 Sunday when my wife asked me if I wanted to go ride, obviously I said yes.

If you know anyone in the market for a cheap bike, shoot me a message and I'll get you my number.
