This is a 2 year old Prestige Bass bought from the Prestige Guitar company in Vancouver. It was sold with a lifetime warranty which I do not know if it will transfer. The list price on this bass was $1,595. The new version is $1,165, however the new version does not have some of the features this one has therefore the lower price. This bass has a 19db gain preamp system which can be switched to passive. I use it on passive because I just don't need the tone network. The tone network, is a barn burner though if you really want high end sound. The neck is through the body and is 3 pieces of Canadian maple sandwiching 2 pieces of ebony. The body panels are curly maple which you can see through the translucent black finish. The Bass comes with a hardshell factory case, and studded leather padded strap with strap lock. This bass is currently stringed with B,E,A,D, and can be easily changed back to E,A,D,G if the buyer so chooses. This bass is truly amazing to play. It can thunder and smack and is a studio grade instrument. Shipping has to be worked out, but, there is no tax.
