The laptop-

Windows Experience Index is 5.5
Intel T7600 core 2 CPU
DUAL SLI GeForce 8700M discreet graphics cards (w/512mb GDDR2 each) http://www.notebookcheck.ne...8600M-GT.3986.0.html
4gb DDR2 memory
17" Glossy LCD
Seagate 200gb 7200 RPM hard drive (Note 7200RPM vs the typical 5400RPM, increases drive and virtual memory speed by about 30%)
Second open drive bay for storage drive or RAID
Various outputs including 4 USB ports, S-vid, VGA and DVI connections, Cat5, High definition audio outputs including optical, etc.
Originally came with Vista, but will do fresh install with valid Windows 7HP.
Battery does need to be replaced, but works perfectly on charger (also included)

I'm not a gamer, but I've done some 3D graphics rendering on this system and it's fast.
In great shape, no scratches or dents to speak of, no dead pixels or flaws on screen. Even the keyboard is on good shape. Estimate value to be about $750, negotiable.

Not my video, but this a walkaround of an identical system (minus backpack/accessories):

Good luck with the sale, but... That's a lot of money for a laptop with those specs. I think you'll have to find someone who likes the Alienware brand bragging rights.

It's on par with what I've found them going for. I've seen cheaper, I've seen higher. The dual video cards is what makes it a monster. Also the hard drive is pretty new, I think it may have some warranty left on it. Check the pricing on 7200 RPM laptop drives, they're not cheap either. The CPU isn't all that impressive, and it could handle more memory, but for gaming it'll beat the pants off any new system with a better processor or more memory, assuming it isn't another high-end laptop running similar discreet graphics cards and an SSD. But then, you'll pay a minimum of 2K for one of those. Given the condition and specs, I think the price is pretty good for what you get.

its not a bad system, but you can find new laptops with faster specs and 2gigs of video memory for only a few hundred dollars more.. So might be a tough sell..

If there are laptops with dual SLI graphics cards at 2 gigs for less than a grand I'd like to see one. I've yet to find any laptop with even a single discreet graphics card for less than a grand.

Either way, if it sells or not it's OK with me. I like it, I just don't use it a lot. But I'm not going to give it away for less than it's worth.....so.....
