I'm putting one of my toys up for sale, it's an early Porsche 911, built in November of 1965. I'm asking $95,000 for it. Six figures for a Porsche 911??? With rust??? I should start investing in cars. What makes it so special?

Technically, it's only 5 figures It's a fair price for the car--early 911's have absolutely skyrocketed in value over the last 5 or 6 years. The rust is very minimal. I've seen very incomplete project cars sell in the $50,000-$60,000 dollar range.

Heh. $95k is $100k. Sort of like $49.99 is 50 bucks. I had no idea your car was worth that much. I can remember when 911s (in showroom condition) were all over for $10k, $20k with some history. Best of luck on your sale.
