Hello People of Pennocks!
This listing is for a very RARE CAR: The 1982 Chevrolet Citation X-11 . Read more about it's history at General Motors and how it was developed specifically for SCCA racing:
Citation X-11 Wiki
in 1982 only 3,864 X-11's were produced.
Condition: paint is pretty decent, but has a some spots of surface rust, all are minor and can be repaired by a competent paint guy. the plastic Fender fillers have cracked and fallen off with age, as is normal with these cars. A company called "replica Plastics" makes a full set of replacement fiberglass fender fillers, from the original stock GM molds, for $160 for the set of 4. The interior is in excellent condition. The vehicle has about 115K miles, runs ok, but the carburetor could use a tune-up. I just replaced the entire suspension with all new parts, and all new brake system, new master cylinder, new pads, rotors, shoes, new shocks and struts. I DID NOT replace the springs because they are in excellent condition, and the X-11 springs are original and unique to the car( higher spring rate than regular citations ). It has a 2.8L HO V6, with automatic transmission( 3-speed w/ lockup converter ), A/C, which will need freon added to get cold.
If you have any specific questions about the car, please don't hesitate to message me and ask
This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, and no warranty is given nor implied. What you see is what you get in the pictures. I took detailed pics to try and be as forthcoming about the condition of the car as possible. I have seen Citation X-11s in this condition sell on ebay before for 3 grand+, but I am looking to sell quickly, so this is Priced to sell! Buyer is responsible for arranging transport of the vehicle. Even though it runs, i cannot guarantee that it would not have any problems traveling great distances, as i have not tested it. I would HIGHLY recommend that the buyer arrange for an auto transport/shipper to pickup the vehicle, I will assist you if need be in finding a company that will ship it for a good rate.

Looks like a good deal. I'd love to have it, but you're just too far away, and shipping it is out of the question. Good luck with the sale.
Saw in some research on these cars it appears you've installed a 4.9 in one. Have you, and what was the result? What does it do to the handling? (they're said to be a touch squirrelly with just the 2.8)

yes i did, that one is for sale too i am moving to GA, so all cars must go
FYI, shipping to most parts of Texas from FL are only about $600-$700... i priced this car at $1000 because i knew that anyone on this group would likely be shipping it. I could likely get about $2K for it on ebay, but i'd much rather it go to a collector, not some schmuck on ebay who thinsk its a good investment...
and yes FWD can be squirelly if its a base model citation, but if you beef up the suspension in the rear and add a touch negative camber to the front , it gets rid of these problems. if you have the X-11 suspension like i do, its already beefy, so all you have to do is add maybe half a degree of negative Camber to the front tires, and you are solid. Robert Cope is on this group, and he also has a 4.9L citation X-11, and he has run it on race courses before with it and had very great results.
