Buy my house and move to Tallahassee (Page 1/1)

It's been a good home for us, the past 7 years. Good neighborhood, too. We just want a little more space (both inside and outside).

Nice looking house! I wish housing was that cheap up here. Good luck with the sale!

Wow. $140k for 1300sqft? That's expensive compared to my place which is 2500sqft. Nice looking home. Good luck with your sale.

Generally $100 per sq ft seems to be the going rate around here. We will likely have to come down to that.

I could have bought a 6000sqft 3 story house for $20,000 last year. Down side, it was in Saginaw. Beautiful all original 1914 mansion.

Price reduced to $134,900. We have only had 4 showings so far.
Exterior wood rot (not from WDO) is being replaced this week, and deck to be re-stained.

Saturday we showed the house for the 10th time, and Monday we got an offer. It was for less than we wanted, so we just now submitted a counter-offer to meet half way.

Just a little free FYI for you, no charge.

After counter offers, and counters to the counters (I lost count), the buyers finally accepted our last proposal.
The house is now Pending, or Contingent, or something.

You may no longer buy my house, but you can still move to Tallahassee, if you're lucky.

Sorry, but I've been looking to move to Canada.

A septic inspection of our house determined that the drain field needs replaced. So we got a 2nd opinion, and it was confirmed. We will get an estimate tomorrow.
But we agreed to sell the house for such a low amount that we already have to bring money to closing. So we really don't want to pay for this too. After we get the estimate, we're going to try to negotiate with the buyers. Not sure how that's going to go over. It could mean they back out of the whole deal. We shall see.
