Perhaps one of our members could educate us with first hand knowledge on the subject.

Perhaps you could "educate us" and explain why you're asking about "Autism" in the Politics & Religion section of this forum.

You callous brastard ! Yes, callous ! That you would equate fraud with a true health issue, which information is needed about.

I am not a health expert but I have dealt with autism for the whole of my Grandson's life. As has my wife, and his mother.

Patrick, are you that daft ? Show us you second post on the forum. He is asking about autism because he has a need. Boo Who. He picked the wrong subsection.

mencalico, how can I help you ? Patrick is right but in this case, he has no class. He could have said it is better to ask that question in the T/OT section. Meaning the totally of topic subsection, of which any thing can be discussed. It is better asked there as you would get more Pennocks members to add in to your question. This forum is amazing. People of all walks of life and experiences are always eager to help.

mencalico, I honestly believe autism is a gift. Many consider it to be a malady. I will look for your thread in T/OT.

Patrick. Do not report him for making the same thread in two subsections.

Just want to offer a bit of advice about "first hand knowledge" from random people on a message board.

Autism presents over a broad spectrum. Individual "first hand knowledge" is anecdotal and would vary widely depending on what level of autism the individual had been exposed to.

Medical professionals/researchers have "first hand knowledge" of hundreds of thousands of cases all across the spectrum. So you would find much more accurate information from a source like that. Or if you do want "first hand knowledge" from family memebers of people with autism seek out aone of the many message board forums that specifically deal with autism.

Not saying that anyone here who has dealt with autism would give you false information, but the autism they dealt with first hand might be very different from what you want advice about.

Good luck. I hope you find the information you need.

Yep, there's something a little odd about both of this "new" member's first two posts.
