At this point, Putin is getting desperate, but I still don't believe he's going to launch nuclear weapons for the sheer fact it would mean the total destruction of his country..

Nobody thinks Putin is going to launch all out nuclear war with the world. The question is, IF he uses one (or two, or three...) tactical nukes in Ukraine, what is "The World" going to do about it?

Current Russian tactics are to surround cities and shell them into submission. With the expected collateral damage. They seem to have plenty of their TOS-1 therombaric rocket launchers available for that task.

Nobody wants to draw a line and dare Putin to step over it.

"A tactical nuke is a practical nuke."

That's the central theme of the newly published hardcover from the Russian Federation's internationally celebrated president, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Other observations from Mr. Putin... "If you're in New York, or London, or any other den of Western degeneracy, ED means Erectile Dysfunction. Here in Russia, ED means Escalate to De-escalate." "Nuclear winter? Why not? Winter is when I like Moscow best." And "I don't like to split hairs. I like to split atoms."

A colorful and somewhat "longish" report on the history of foreign volunteers. The Lafayette Escadrille and the International Brigades of the Spanish Civil War are among the most celebrated by history, although according to Latvia-based journalist and historian Gordon F. Sander, the legends were more than the realities. On the other side of that ledger, the Flying Tigers were highly effective, although by comparison, not so well or widely remembered.

"Thousands of foreign volunteers are fighting in Ukraine. History suggests it could go badly."
Gordon Sander for the Washington Post; March 24, 2022.

Tom Pandolfi 2009: AVG Flying Tigers
I met this man while doing cable work at his house. Gave me 2 free passes when the exhibit was at New England Air Museum.
Great fighting force of pilots. The great ❤️ of a volunteer.
However....
What happened to China after?
