I am anti-Republican at this point until they denounce Trump. Trump wasn’t the worst president we’ve ever had, by any means, but what he was able to say and do without any denouncement by the Republican Party will never cease to amaze me. I like Romney, always have even though I felt he was too boring up against Obama, and support him since he’s vocally anti-Trump. I am not pro-Democrat, but I’m not anti-Democrat. I’m anti-some-of-their-policies, even most, but not anti-Democrat themselves if they’re a moderate. The thing about me is, I like to argue. So when I agree with someone, I don’t really feel like I need to say anything. If we had a “like” button, you’d think of my statements as less one-sided. I have argued against liberal ideas, even recently, but the 3 or so liberals on this board are mostly not assholes and are mostly moderate (cxvjet or whatever his name is is admittedly pretty liberal). Then you have about 30 conservatives, at varying degrees of swing, and yeah, since I like arguing, you’ll see a ton more action arguing against them than otherwise. This forum has turned moderates further right over time because it’s an echo chamber. I see the forum as a microcosm of radicalization, a real-life example of the Overton window, or of the general shift of acceptable ideas. I view it from afar sometimes. I partake other times. But when I partake, it’s generally as an argument, and there is no need to argue things I agree with. So to you, I’m liberal. Literally everything I believe is libertarian and defensible to that foundation. Many don’t understand the libertarian platform, which is fine, but that’s where I am, regardless of if anyone likes it or not. I don’t support the Biden administration. Just like the Trump admin, though, they’ve done some stuff better than others. If you’d like an itemized list of the things I don’t support to “prove myself,” you’ll have to wait until I am at a computer and bored enough to do so. But I don’t support “Build Back Better,” literally his primary “win” of his term, I don’t support the recently proposed budget (even though it doesn’t really mean anything), and I don’t support his border policies so far. He’s been a more moderate candidate than an alternative, though, so it’s not really a hugely eventful presidency for me. I think his admin has done a good job with regards to Ukraine and personally consider that his only good mark in his presidency. This forum will think that statement alone makes me incredibly liberal, but that’s a testament to how far this forum has gone.
