We sit and wait for a savior instead of saving ourselves. Why couldn't we have got together and done the same thing as a large group? Not a "Conservative" group, just a group of people who want freedom.

Holy **** ... Fats... you are on to something.

If we created an organization that funneled the purchase of stock (voting shares, not preferred), to a company that we were at-odds with... this would do two things:

1 - We could purchase an ownership stake that would dramatically increase our ability to issue proposals / make decisions by virtue of being able to vote out members of the board of directors.

2 - We would also have leverage as a threat to sell the stock, which would invariably cause other investors to lose money who were at odds with us.

There is really something to this. But I'm not sure how we would set something up... but this would bring a form of Democracy to Corporatism.

Disney CEO does something crazy... and we together buy up a major holding of shares, call a meeting (as a representative for our shares) and force the CEO to dismiss or change course, or face a vote of no confidence.

Let the great purge begin.

Unfortunately, Elon didn't ask the twatter employees WHO they thought was free to speak, so the "Yes" voters were completely shocked today.

Leftists gotta Leftist
..so somebody hand that Leftist boy a cardboard box and tell him he best get to packin'

It would be EPIC for Musk to show up and hand him that cardboard box personally.

Here's something else that's EPIC... according to Snopes, "Jackson Mulholland" is a fictional Twitter employee. It's from a satirical or satire-focused Twitter account.

Yep. Leftists gotta Leftist... and Blowhards gotta Blowhard. It certainly "gets better and better." Indeed.

I guess I'm not sorry I didn't see this first. I'm content with what I posted.

No worries, there are plenty of real employees basically saying the same thing.

I would love to see EM take a controlling share and move the company to Texas or Florida.

I guess the MSM message he wouldn't play an active role is a bit wrong.

Make an app where we can pitch in and own for as little as a dollar, and I'd make weekly deposits directly from my paycheck. Heck, make it where people can use it as a sort of stock broker, where they can get money out if they disagree (or just want to pull out) and the app would follow the will of the users as well. Set it up where people can vote on places that are purchased, perhaps some sort of a forum.

Wonder if THOSE PEOPLE should call up Don Cherry and see if he has any openings for cancellers.

LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER:::::::::

To be fair, this simply wasn't a hard prediction to make. I've spent over 20 years of my career interacting directly and closely with corporate boards as well as serving on a couple myself. EM will hold his seat on the Twatter board only so long as it pleases and benefits him. If the Class 1 and Class 3 members attempt to fight him on issues that he sees as important, he has the ability to "saw their financial legs right out from under them" by dumping his shares and they know it.
On the other hand he also has the freedom and ability while on the board to increase his current position by approx. 50% (to 14.9%) of outstanding shares which affords him even more leverage. Twatter just became Elon's biatch.
