Lawrence O'Donnell used almost the entire first half of his hour-long weeknight, late primetime show on MSNBC to critique that "Truth Social" message about MSNBC from Donald Trump.
Lawrence O'Donnell believes that the news media writ large—including what are generally regarded as mainstream liberal news and opinion venues like the New York Times—has not been critical enough of Donald Trump over the years, and is unlikely to improve in this regard... too many "softball questions" for Trump, and not enough drilling down into what O'Donnell (and many others, it's fair to say) perceive as Trump's lies, misdeeds and woefully unpromising ideas.
I summarize my summary!

quote | Lawrence O’Donnell is the host of "The Last Word" on MSNBC. Formerly an Emmy Award-winning executive producer and writer for “The West Wing,” O’Donnell also served as senior advisor to Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY), [and as] chief of staff to the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works and the Senate Finance Committee.
O’Donnell is the author of "Deadly Force" [a non-fictional book about police misconduct] and his writing has [been published] in The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and [beyond.]
Born in Boston, O’Donnell [attended St. Sebastian's Catholic High School for boys in the Boston suburb of Needham, and then pursued and completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University, where he majored in Economics.] |

The "handoff" ritual is de rigueur on weekday nights on MSNBC. Alex Wagner closes out her show at 10pm Eastern Time by introducing "The Last Word" with Lawrence O'Donnell. Except on Mondays, when Rachel Maddow is on instead of Alex Wagner, and Fridays, when another host fills in for Lawrence O'Donnell.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 12-02-2023).]

GREAT QUESTION..!
"Alex Wagner Tonight" and "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell" typically go on air from the MSNBC broadcast facilities at what is now the Comcast Building, at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10112. I'd say that's almost always the case for "Alex Wagner Tonight."
But "The Last Word" has a strong California connection, because Lawrence O'Donnell's primary residence is in California. I think he has a home in Santa Monica. So it's not uncommon for "The Last Word" to air from California, and I believe that would mostly be from the Comcast NBCUniversal broadcast facilities at 10 Universal City Plaza, North Hollywood, CA 91602. So I will post both maps, just to be on the safe side.
