I'm totally onboard with that. I lean more to the right than any of the good ol' boys here would ever want to acknowledge, but the absolute arrogance of some of these guys turns me right off of wanting to agree with them on anything.

You mean like how randye used to "recognize and respect" Boondawg by posting images of bowling shoes while mocking Boonie's vocation? Oh yeah, fun times in O/T years ago... for the good ol' boys.

Boondawg posted a picture of a pile of ashes with a load of jizz on top of it... which referenced how a holocaust camp was a turn on.

Say what you will... but I don't think anyone currently here is mentally capable of coming up with something like that. There is a reason why he's gone.

I couldn't care less about your....anything.

You're here to make an ass of yourself.

I see a definite cognitive dissonance in your persona here. One day or one moment, you come across as fairly reasonable. And then... you come out with retarded grade school-level s**t like this. It's like a "Jekyll and Hide" act.

You could improve your forum "game" by taking to heart what Todd—82-T/A [At Work]—said, at the very top of the thread.

I post countless links—it's my "thing"—but I seldom post a link to a long text article or a sizable video segment without trying to accommodate the potential audience for it.

If it's a long text article, I generally copy and paste some parts of it as "teasers," to try to interest people and move them to consider using the link to access the entire article.

If it's a sizable video segment, I will try to set them up for the part of it that I most want them to see. I may say "it's right at the beginning of the video segment," or "It's at the 2:30 mark." If it's a YouTube video, I may post a link that queues up the video at the exact time within the timeline of the video where I want them to look.

I don't imagine that my "Take Rate" is very high, but I suspect it's higher than yours.

You can post links to your hour-long video segments all day long... if all you want to do is "preach to the choir."

I don't see any accomplishment in that.

Oh yeah, it was just terrific when the good ol' boys had almost complete dominance over anything remotely political in O/T. So many decent folk simply left the forum due to the bullying that had occurred here for years. Now that there are rules in place to prevent the worst of the bullying, it's not as much "fun" for the good ol' boys anymore. Too bad, so sad.

Bullying? They "gave" as good as they "got".
I think the people who left, left because they continually were faced with logic they could not refute, and couldn't handle it any more.
One particular person comes to mind, who decided that the "adult" thing to do would be to delete all his posts, anywhere in the forum - including "tech", and then leave.
Because "Eff y'all! That's why!"

Way to burn bridges.

Well, it was a different situation for different people. Some went out with a bang, others just quietly faded away. An example of the latter would be heybjorn. Mike was a heck of a nice guy, and just didn't want any involvement in the seemingly continual (political) strife in O/T. (May he rest in peace.)

Yeah, that was disappointing to say the least. I understand why he left... but to go through the trouble of deleting almost all of his old posts was rather bizarre.

Bringing that image up out of context... is what you do best. We've previously hashed out what that was all about, but you prefer to hang on to your erroneous beliefs.

But it was absolutely fine by you to have some guy posting and promoting the killing of police officers here, in thread after thread, year after year. Your priorities are all messed up.

I have no idea what you're talking about... is there ever a context in which it's okay to have a picture of jizz on a pile of ashes making fun of holocaust victims? I don't think so... and I won't let you attempt to re-frame that post either.

Of course not, as you immediately delete from your memory anything that doesn't jive with your preconceived notions. It's been explained to you previously why Boondawg posted that image... but you'd rather try and crucify a guy that dared stand up to the usual suspects here.
