The other points you made have similar concessions to the truth and rationality in order to stoke anger. The Democrats had nothing to do with the assassination attempts against Donald Trump, the raid was avoidable and came about from the same scrutiny all other Presidents have gotten...it's all shades of the truth. You don't need that.
There's a false equivalency in what you're saying as you try to talk yourself into this more extreme stance as well: There are other options that are not "turn the other cheek" or a tantrum-esque "DESTROY MY ENEMIES" response. I would suggest looking at productive policy moving forward as a much better third option, since that's kind of the point of all of this. Or maybe see what we can do to resolve some of the divisive issues rather than purposefully making them worse to make ourselves feel better. I kinda feel like there's LOTS of better options there. But given how much power the party you support now has...petulance seems a very strange response. |

So... this above is basically... "you made good points that I have no argument for, so I'll say some stuff."
"What about "traitor," "enemy of the people" or "fascist"?"
... these are what the Democrats called the Republicans.
"The Democrats had nothing to do with the assassination attempts against Donald Trump"
Selective reasoning here... these are mentally ill people who literally believed the world-ending constant rhetoric from the left. As I said... there are literally people committing suicide openly on r/SuicideWatch. Feel free to check it out on your own. I occasionally help out in there, for no other reason than I try to do a little good, but I can't even touch any off that. It's off the charts.
Crisis hotlines see huge increase before and after Trump win https://mashable.com/articl...lines-election-lgbtq
This rhetoric from the left is absolutely insane and your false-equivalency is just that. The Democrats have always lived on the principle of fear... like pushing granny off the cliff. It's the only way they know how to win because their policies (lately) are so completely insane, that even most Democrats wouldn't believe they're legitimately real. We know the Democrat leadership WANTS as much mass-illegal migration into the country. I won't even speculate why... but we know they want it. It's so outlandish that even most Democrat voters, including yourself, still are still convinced it's not true. The Democrats started this about 20 years ago... and it's become increasingly more dire and dramatic...
"...the raid was avoidable and came about from the same scrutiny all other Presidents have gotten"
I have literally no idea what you're trying to say here.[This message has been edited by 82-T/A [At Work] (edited 11-08-2024).]

I'm not sure how you read that into it but, no...that's not what I said at all. You do make some good points, though. You did get that part right

...and then immediately made yourself guilty same false equivalency you've been projecting onto me.

Again, I think your take on these issues is one-sided to an extreme; maybe it's purposeful hyperbole, maybe you think the above is actual objectivity.
It's pretty wild that 4 years after Trump lost and his supporters broke into congress to poop and pee everywhere to officially and peacefully request an extension, then spent years suing, making weird false documentaries, and hiring the world's stupidest MSSP to do ballot 'investigations' that we're calling Democrats dramatic. I mean, calling the crisis hotline because your candidate lost is embarrassingly silly childishness, I agree, but at least they haven't pooped anywhere inappropriate yet, or stabbed any cops with an American flag pole.
Now here we are, post victory and I want to ask you again: Your candidate won. Your party controls the Senate. They will likely control the House (that's still the case, right?). At least 2 years of unfettered ability to enact policy. What do you gain by poopooing things this time? Is that just a new tradition we're adopting, MAGA crapping on everything (literally or metaphorically) every 4 years, win or lose? Why aren't we talking about potential nominees and such, or about how worm-noodle is gonna run the FDA on whale meat and chiropractic care?[This message has been edited by NewDustin (edited 11-08-2024).]

The last 9 years, the Democrats have slowly changed me. I'm still a decent guy in person... I want the best for everyone. But... let's just say... I'll keep my opinions here to myself because it will shock a lot of people. I'd never do anything illegal, but I won't soon forget. If I could destroy the Democrat party completely and create something in it's place, I would at the snap of a finger.

Todd, you're in so deep you've lost all perspective. I don't know how Dustin can remain so patient while dealing with your ultra-biased political comments
Look at the following screen grab from a few minutes ago. No less than nine political threads have all been started by you on the first page alone... and I'd be surprised if there are more than one or two threads on the entire page that you haven't responded to.
I don't know anyone, either in "real" life, or on the 'net, who's more consumed by politics than you appear to be. The first step in recovery is recognizing the problem!

It's a non-standard name, and it shouldn't be considered racist or insulting that the American population don't know how to pronounce it the way it's apparently supposed to be pronounced.

|
The proper pronunciation is: LOSER los·er /ˈlo͞ozər/
noun
1. a person or thing that loses or has lost something, especially a game or contest. "she was the loser in the race"
Similar: defeated person, also-ran, the defeated, the vanquished, runner-up[This message has been edited by randye (edited 11-08-2024).]

LOL, Patrick... in the last week, you have nearly 3 times as many posts on here than I do. I've started a couple of threads, a couple of those in your image are months old. That you did a screen grab and carefully made arrows next to each of them is a bit dramatic and obsessive.
I thought I'd be happy that Trump won, and I am, honestly... but now I want revenge... unfortunately, he's a better person than me, because I don't think he'll do it. But I think success is punishment enough for the Democrats.

Happy? Damn man, read over your posts! You've got a odd way of expressing your happiness. I can't imagine what you would've been posting if Trump had lost, although I guess I could simply look up what you were posting four years ago... except Trump didn't lose in 2020, right?

Very doubtful. More hyperbole.

Since when do you get to choose the parameters of something I'm commenting on? Doesn't matter if they don't fit your imposed time frame. .. you've started nine threads that are on the first page of this political sub-section.

It was a quick and easy way to demonstrate the absolute absurdity of your comment below.

Geeze Patrick... I stop reading when you get crazy like this. I'm sorry... not going to do a round-and-round with you.
You got a couple of other people to do that with you in some of these threads, but I'm bowing out.
