There are other variants of that "one-eyed vision" syndrome that are apparent on this forum. Such as "the dirty LEFT" and whoever or whatever's not "the LEFT" in the eyes of that beholder.

I don't think that "ray b" sees the Democrats or the DNC as "squeaky clean."

I say this is what the Gop wants the end result to be
capitalism has winners and those who lost the game
take to the end game
THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE
WINNER WHO OWNS EVERYTHING

If memory serves me accurately, many years ago, before there was a solidly established Tesla Motors, there was Elon Musk with an interest in developing a new enterprise to capitalize (literally) upon new battery technology. Elon Musk got an assist from the U.S. government in terms of an R&D grant or other federal program of that kind. That would have predated (I think) another program of federally subsidized investments and loans that involved the Solyndra (solar energy) bankruptcy, that incurred a $535 million loss in the form of "red ink" against that federal program, and so, in effect, against all U.S. federal taxpayers.

Nevertheless, despite that one headlines-making bankruptcy, that same federal investment program realized a net profit for the U.S. Treasury, when it was all said and done. That's what my sources have told me. Who knows different? Let them speak.

Here's something on that from the U.S. Department of Energy:

The "groomers" remark prompts me to segue to the Industrial Finance Corporation Act of 2021, supported by Senators Chris Coons, Amy Klobuchar, Chris Van Hollen, Raphael Warnock, Gary Peters, Michael Bennet, and Mark Warner. Democrats, all.

That is a legislative bill that has not been passed. The Atlantic's Robinson Meyer liked it, though; to wit:

"The Bill That Could Truly, Actually Bring Back U.S. Manufacturing"

To Cut or Copy is much to my taste, and I always finish with a Paste.

I'm sorry, but any bullsh*t from The Atlantic, "I don’t find it to be interesting."

But what I will find interesting is what solar panels you have, who made them, and what the generated kwh is. How are YOU building back better?

The Build Back Better legislation had many aspects to it. Solar power, only part of that picture.

I am not open to discussing these things here on such a personal level. You'll just have to guess. Maybe the roof over my head is covered with Chinese-made solar panels. Maybe I'm a DIYer, experimenting with perovskite-based photovoltaic coatings that I paint onto my roof to create solar power. Maybe I'm a duck that's become conversant enough in English to go online and pretend to be human.

Yea, auto correct changes it to duck when I type it out as well.
