Well, at least they got tanks on the way to deal with. Not trucks. That I can 1/2 way understand.

No doubt. As well as paying tow/storage bills along with fines and loss of revenue. Both sides of this issue hopefully learned something.

I saw a cartoon yesterday, (I'll try to find it and post it here later), but the gist of it was an image of a mother and child walking hand in hand down a row of completely empty store shelves and the mother is saying to the child: "This is what happens when your government picks a fight with the truckers".

I'm bewildered at how a government believes that they can confiscate the trucks, cancel licenses and permits, fine the truckers and impound people's entire bank accounts and THEN expect the needed goods to keep flowing to people like normal.

There is a "constant" in world history; When authoritarian governments push the people hard enough and far enough revolutions inevitably result.

Everyone will eventually "learn something" from this but there may be a lot damage to everyone in the schooling.

Not just "both sides".

One thing I learned is the "freedom" types most certainly do not embrace free speech !!

The censorship both online and at the site I went to over the 3 weeks rivaled farcebook, and in some cases worse. It was VERY clear unless you were going to toe the P-C/BLM/Leftist speech line you weren't really welcome (but your dollars are )....So I am with them on the vax mandates, but that's about where we part ways.

Seems to be another liberal-type group that pick and choose what parts of "constitutional rights" they do and do not approve of and were ALL for forcing the "forced association", "inclusiveness" and "liberal tolerance" with no tolerance for those who don't "toe the line".

I'm constantly baffled and bewildered that the people on the Left that have screamed from the rooftops about how bad the Government is up until two years ago, are now proclaiming the Government to be the most trustworthy and sacred thing on the planet.

We must do what Master Government tells us, for they are our savior. - Left

I understand your statement, all I can say on the confiscation, licenses and such is, I'm no expert on Canadian law. I'm just glad the streets are clear, and everyone can use that asphalt.
I don't see any gain for the truckers or, the Canadian government. Based on what I've read from other sources, Trudeau has strengthened his position with the minority party in charge.
