NEW: EU officials are considering offering asylum and refugee status for soldiers who want to desert the Russian army, as long as they have not committed war crimes.
U officials are pay cash for russian troops who give up
new better way to fight
not see after the roman imperator bidding wars

What do they consider "war crimes?"
I'm just curious what that means because several of the soldiers have likely killed someone in the line of duty. Does that constitute a crime, or just following orders? Just curious. I would maybe think a war crime would be intentionally killing civilians, or something of that nature.

The Geneva Convention is available to read online.
"War crimes" are specifically defined.
