I'm thinking he'll talk about how well his first year in office went, downplay inflation but state that his environmental package is good for us and the really tough sanctions he's placed on the Russians. Everything else that didn't do his way was the previous administration's fault. I do hope he's got a teleprompter. Rams

Or speak totally about the Russian invasion and completely ignore the dumpster fire his party started at home. We are being invaded from the southern border but look over there!

I'll be surprised if he mentions our southern border invasion.

Brandon only mentioned China twice... And this about LEO's
quote | I recently visited the New York City Police Department days after the funerals of Officer Wilbert Mora and his partner, Officer Jason Rivera.
They were responding to a 9-1-1 call when a man shot and killed them with a stolen gun.
Officer Mora was 27 years old.
Officer Rivera was 22.
Both Dominican Americans who’d grown up on the same streets they later chose to patrol as police officers.
I spoke with their families and told them that we are forever in debt for their sacrifice, and we will carry on their mission to restore the trust and safety every community deserves.
I’ve worked on these issues a long time.
I know what works: Investing in crime prevention and community police officers who’ll walk the beat, who’ll know the neighborhood, and who can restore trust and safety.
So let’s not abandon our streets. Or choose between safety and equal justice.
Let’s come together to protect our communities, restore trust, and hold law enforcement accountable.
That’s why the Justice Department required body cameras, banned chokeholds, and restricted no-knock warrants for its officers.
That’s why the American Rescue Plan provided $350 Billion that cities, states, and counties can use to hire more police and invest in proven strategies like community violence interruption—trusted messengers breaking the cycle of violence and trauma and giving young people hope.
We should all agree: The answer is not to Defund the police. The answer is to FUND the police with the resources and training they need to protect our communities.
I ask Democrats and Republicans alike: Pass my budget and keep our neighborhoods safe. |
|
Emphasis mine. Notice how he chose to highlight the deaths of 2 minority officers (rip).
Brandon was staring DIRECTLY at and nodding his empty head (as if to scorn) toward the republican side of the aisle when he was stressing police funding.
They defunded and reallocated the funds, now the NEW plan is to provide bubble guns, rainbow cannons and Jehovah's Witnesses walking the beat going door2door as counselors. Where is that $350 billion gonna go/do? Poorly run democrat states/counties/cities for more liberal DAs and prosecutors. Oh, and to be used to offset the budget on other social programs like "FREE safe injection sites."
Digging America a deeper grave by just handing out imaginary numbers on paper, when there is NO papers showing and accounting EXACTLY where this money goes. All nicely broken down and why.
They will never admit they were wrong, that's why the USA will never "come together".

Honestly, I have no interest in what dementia Brandon has to say read to me.
The pertinent details, if there even are any, will be available to skim through soon enough.[This message has been edited by randye (edited 03-02-2022).]

I also do not intend to force myself to suffer through it. I am only on one med. It's for high blood pressure. It wouldn't be in my best interest.

The President says he wants a bunch of different programs, (whether I agree with him on specific programs is not important at this point) all those programs cost huge dollars and yet, he claims no one who makes less than $400K a year will pay more taxes, he wants corporations to pay a 50% tax on their income. What the President doesn't seem to understand is, Corporations don't pay taxes, they pass those costs onto consumers.
I don't pretend to be an economist but, someone needs to get the President back on the appropriate medication(s).

The President doesn't know that corporations don't pay taxes? Seriously?
There is no hope for America. The voters don't even know that Presidents say things in a way to fool the voters.
Another voter in this thread thinks these ideas are Brandon's ideas.
There is no hope for America. Just a slow spiral to the crash.[This message has been edited by sourmash (edited 03-02-2022).]

When a politician has to insist they won't lie to you, you absolutely know they are lying to you.

Cheee-Yah!! And monkeys will fly out of my butt.
Just increased costs, due to all those companies' tax increases.
I just *kind of* listened, after he was done with all the "rah-rah" stuff. It all went in one ear and out the other, until I heard that $400K thing (which we had heard before.) After that, I quit listening altogether. Cretin.
