Putin on the hits (Page 1/11)
TheDigitalAlchemist MAR 02, 11:29 AM
There is/will be a point where there's no 'turning back', because 'stopping' would likely end up in months/years of trials and punishment...How could this situation deescalate in a manner that would be "alright" with Putin?

Like, what would be his motivation?

Know what I'm sayin?

I think a bunch of Russians should walk into the Kremlin, take pictures of themselves at his desk and steal his podium. Yeah, that should do it.

Putin's ego will not let him stop. Many of his own soldiers and a lot of Ukrainians will suffer and die due this egomaniac's issues. Russia's economy will soon be in the toilet, blame Putin.

It has been said Putin is just trying to save lives. Sure is a funny/sad way to show it.

Honestly, I am going to stick with what I said in another thread. Internal opposition is growing by the day and with a little luck, his regime will collapse.

Putin or Biden? Take your pick.

Like what Blackrams said...

I think Putin's pretty much stuck with his decision. I'm not Putin, but I see no scenario where Putin retreats. To do anything other than succeed in this case, would be a huge stain on Russia's perceived power. It would make them look weak and ineffective on the world stage, which is exactly everything that Russia is trying to prevent.

I guess they underestimated:
- The resolve of the Ukrainian people.
- The readiness of their military and equipment

Not sure what's going on, but I think at this point, Putin has no real choice (his ego / image) other than to go big if he actually hopes to win this.

Yeah, Putin will not back down. The only way he is going away is by force, political or military.

I expect that we will soon hear that Zalinsky has been killed in battle. I know he will not be captured.

It was already reported that a "hit team" was killed attempting to assassinate him. How true that is, I don't know. But, I have no doubt Putin will eventually do whatever it takes to install his own favorable government.
The fact that Putin must attack and kill so many to supposedly save lives is utter stupidity. His ego needs to put in check and hopefully will be by his own people.

If Putin gets "replaced" by his own people, that leaves Joe Biden as "the man who took out Putin" (and Cornpop)

Almost makes me want to see Putin win. On second thought, no. I can live with Bide for a few more years.

Putin only asked for NATO to honor a portion of their promise made when Germany reunified. NATO promised not to expand East beyond the new German border.
NATO and the USA refused to discuss it. Now we're watching the results.
