Right now Fed Chairman Powell is on CNBC as he's before The House, I guess, taking questions from Representatives.

Maxine Waters is chairing and tapping members who address Powell.

What you see is some competent, articulate Representatives, but then you see some that struggle to speak English as they read questions and statements that are obviously prepared for them. Maxine included. Some exhibit that they don't understand what they're asking until they're finished reading the prepared question.

America is screwed. Or maybe this is just what representative democracy looks like at it's best. Because dumb people should be helping make decisions too, yes?
