KleptoCapture--not a catchy name, IMO. Super-yacht seized. Big soccer club for sale. (Page 1/1) |

For the video-minded, just under 6 minutes from MSNBC's "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell" that aired on Wednesday night (March 2.) Edward Fishman, the former Russia Sanction Lead at the State Department, discusses the “unprecedented sanctions” on the Russian economy and what the impact will be for the wealthiest Russians who [are having] their “toys” taken from them.
Yahoo! News copies a brief report from Axios about some of the wealthiest Russians around the world who are in the news. https://news.yahoo.com/russ...utins-195707850.html
Among them, Oleg Deripaska, founder of the Rusal aluminum company, who said that "peace is very important" on the Telegram messaging service. Not exactly a scathing condemnation of Putin's week-old murderous crime spree against Ukraine, but Oleg Deripaska is a name that's familiar to every bona fide Mueller investigation enthusiast, such as "yours truly."
One of the most well known of these Russians "of means" is Roman Abramovich, who has been the owner of the U.K. Premier Soccer League's Chelsea FC franchise since 2003. Axios reported that Abramovich has announced his intention of selling the franchise and using the proceeds for the benefit of "all victims of the war in Ukraine." https://www.axios.com/roman...1d-16538d006fa0.html

Hah, this is definitely not going to be good for Putin. If there's anything that can put Putin in harms way... is when you take the toys away from the Oligarchs.
