WASHINGTON -- Vice President Kamala Harris announced on Monday several initiatives to reduce diesel pollution from buses and trucks. Federal funding will now be available for electric transit buses and school buses, cleaner port vehicles and more. In addition, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposed rule to reduce pollution from heavy-duty trucks that will accelerate the deployment of zero-emission technology.
This should be good news for consumer confidence and prices.

Is there a website that shows all fed/state employees that have solar panels on or around (sun tracking based) their home(s) mansion(s) summer-home(s) slave-quarters? It would be nice, a lead by example look.
Same with those that have hybrid/electric vehicles... if any of them even drive themselves. I know Brandon and his hairy legs would get into fights with corn-pop on his Amtrak commute after pissing in a swimming pool or something along those lines.
I'd like to know. The public DESERVES to know with the $$$ they're looking to force its citizens to part with (only to come back to the politicians due to their insider trading).
Until the White House gets solar (not the Jimmy carter way) and US Postal fleet go entirely electric, I won't bust a move.
Wasn't there a thread here that discussed the cost of Tesla battery pack replacement. In the $20,000 range? Yeah, where's my check book....[This message has been edited by WonderBoy (edited 03-07-2022).]

quote | DETROIT (AP) — The Biden administration is proposing stronger pollution regulations for new tractor-trailer rigs that would clean up smoky diesel engines and encourage new technologies during the next two decades.
The proposal released Monday by the Environmental Protection Agency would require the industry to cut smog-and-soot-forming nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90% per truck over current standards by 2031. The emissions can cause respiratory problems in humans.
New rules would start in 2027 to limit the emissions from nearly 27 million heavy trucks and buses nationwide.
Although truck manufacturers are working on battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell powertrains, the EPA says the proposal is not a zero-emissions truck requirement. Rather, the agency says there are pollution control devices in development that can keep diesels in use and still clean the air. . . . |

That's about a third of the entire text.

Well that shouldn't adversely impact the lives of average Americans unless they are buying something that was transported on a truck.
