Man, has THAT phrase been heard a lot lately...
From Covid, to this latest "war", its been rampant.
There are reports that Russian troops thought They were freeing the Ukraine people from Nazi and fascists. or that they were on a "training mission".
Covid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1CIjqvUxyc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tj6EkqfCRbA (video removed, but Rachel Maddow said "Now we know that the vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated person… The virus does not infect them…It cannot use a vaccinated person as a host to get more people." clip found here:https://twitter.com/aginnt/status/1475193955704881152 Misinformation equated with Terrorism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2FHZ6bKybw
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/znkvkYPN51A
And why is has it become more difficult to find out how many people currently have Covid?
It's really distressing how much has decayed the past few years.
Google and Youtube around, Maybe you folks outside of cities are doin' "alright", but folks are out of their skulls in cities. Barely can hold up a conversation without trailing off. Literally almost half the people I interact with act like NPCs.
And where did all the "Covid-related" money go? Billions of dollars earmarked for generic things like "Covid Training" (that NEVER occurred) and "Supplies" (which never were bought/distributed), and "services" (which were never rendered)
if you google "covid money stolen", you'll see this magic "100 Billion" keep showing up - the reality is more than ten times that.
or maybe this is all just "misinformation".
Corruption is nothing new, this is just the latest way for it to manifest.
I heard there's a helicopter currently taking flight on Mars. That's more interesting than any of THIS sorry nonsense. "beep."

I had a thread a while back with the same, or similar concerns.
We literally hold all of the information in our hands, but can't trust any of it.
And sadly, I think that most of the misinformation is coming from people in power, be it Government, or media.
😥

The internet, it's like finding a perfectly grilled porterhouse, just off a mesquite fire, still sizzling...laying at the bottom of a dumpster.

Tucker Carlson (3-7-2022) has a great opening 30min to his broadcast. All about the propaganda forced on us by fake news. Even if you consider Tucker fake news and don't like things packaged by the talking heads, I like to hear his opinion. Tucker transcript
Tucker video @16:40 is where fake news that I don't like comes in. But the video says it all.
quote | Now, maybe you support a war against Russia anyway, but you should at least know that you're being lied to and manipulated, which you are.
Watch this segment from "Good Morning, America" the other day.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Ukraine's mothers, daughters, teachers, politicians, beauty queens, now on the frontlines defending their country under siege.
And there is Anastasiia Lenna, of former Miss Grande Ukraine, photos of her on Instagram in fatigues, rifle in hand, underneath patriotic hashtags.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
CARLSON: Miss Ukraine with a rifle, defending her homeland. Is there anything more inspiring than that? It would be more inspiring if it was real, it wasn't. It was fake.
Miss Ukraine was not defending her homeland. That wasn't a rifle. It was an airsoft gun.
So the whole thing was not a news story that you read it as such, it was a propaganda shoot. It was meant to deceive you. It was meant to make you want war with Russia, sympathize with one side over the other. It works. That's why they do it.
It's why the tech companies have censored so many news sites recently, including from Russia, but not exclusively from Russia. Now, we're supposed to think this is a victory over Putin or something.
But a victory for what? Less information, fewer perspectives.
If getting to the truth was the point of the exercise, we as American citizens will be able to read whatever we wanted to read. That was the rule for centuries in this country. It no longer is because truth is no longer the point.
Instead, Twitter and Facebook are proudly censoring any information that might quote, "Undermine trust in the Ukrainian government." Really? Since when are we required to trust the Ukrainian government or any government? Don't ask.
By the way, over the weekend because everything in America is unintentionally hilarious, now, "The New York Times" attacked Vladimir Putin for censorship. It turns out, he engages in censorship. He tries to control his people can read. |
|
Can anyone actually find that Good Morning America clip? I can't... Is there a reason. One would think it would be on YouTube. Probably censored.
Also check out at 21:00 in video and search Bryce Mitchell interview for full interview. Along with another interview when he was told everything he said was disinformation.

Yep, the latest way some of us have noticed, at least.
Combine the death of the old mainstream (legacy) media with that.
A double edged sword.

Mainstream (legacy) media will not only survive, but thrive, because it's "A-list players" (like the New York Times) are constantly and successfully evolving.
That's the message of this new report from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford.
It's a long report. It goes on just about "forever."
