Democrats Furious Florida Legislature Passed Bill Banning Sexual Orientation Discussions for 5 Year Olds Just further proof that:
- Democrats are mentally ill.
- There needs to be very real punishments for the media lying about things.
- There should be no ambiguity when naming bills. I suggest only numbering them so there is no bias in the name.
quote | Democrats and members of the establishment media are falsely claiming that the parental rights bill, passed by the Florida Senate on Tuesday, is “homophobic” and “reprehensible” in nature, despite the fact that it simply states that classroom discussions on sexual orientation or gender identity are prohibited for children kindergarten through third grade.
The Florida Senate passed the Parental Rights in Education bill on Tuesday, triggering further outcry from Democrat and far-left activists, who had falsely labeled the measure the “Don’t Say Gay bill. In actuality, the bill simply prohibits classroom discussions on any sexual orientation or identity for children in kindergarten through third grade. It does not single out any specific word, including the word “gay,” despite the left’s false framing.
“Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards,” the bill’s text reads in part:
Despite that, Democrats are expressing outrage over the measure, which is now sits on Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) desk. Meanwhile, establishment media outlets are continuing to peddle the “Don’t Say Gay” myth in their framing of the news.
The Democrats, specifically, called the bill — banning classroom discussions on sexual orientation from 5-year-olds — a “reprehensible assault on children’s safety, mental health, protection, and freedom”:
“Today is a sad day for the people of Florida, and a horrific step backwards in the fight for #LGBTQ+ equality. The ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill is discriminatory and homophobic, and our students deserve better,” Rep. Frederica Wilson (R-FL) said. “Period”:
“TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida legislature has passed the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, which Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to sign into law,” the AP’s Zeke Miller tweeted, prompting a sharp response from DeSantis’s press secretary Christina Pushaw, who has continually set the record straight amid the falsehoods, which are widespread on social media:
“BREAKING: Florida lawmakers have passed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. It now heads to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ desk,” Axios wrote in a tweet, as CNN followed suit and others claimed the passage to be a “catastrophic violation of human rights and free speech that puts LGBTQ+ lives at risk”:
Over the past week, Gov. DeSantis has repeatedly called out members of the establishment media for misleading the public by touting the false name, “Don’t Say Gay.”
“Does it say that in the bill?” DeSantis asked a reporter during Monday’s press conference: “Does it say that in the bill? I’m asking you to tell me what’s in the bill, because you are pushing false narratives. It doesn’t matter what critics say.”
“It says it bans classroom instruction on sexual identity and gender orientation,” the reporter replied.
“For who? For grades pre-k through three — 5-year-olds, 6-year-olds, 7-year-olds. The idea that you wouldn’t be honest about that and tell people what it actually says– it’s why people don’t trust people like you, because you peddle false narratives,” DeSantis said, adding, “We’re going to make sure that parents are going to be able to send their kids to kindergarten without having some of this stuff injected in their school curriculum”: |

Yeah, the Democrats here have been going absolutely insane. But the reality is that no one even knows what this law is about. All the people who are calling it "Don't Say Gay" have literally no idea what they're protesting. The local teachers unions have been stoking the children to host walkouts... which they're only too happy to do. They've all been manipulated to believe that this somehow is banning gayness in schools. LITERALLY... the only thing it does, is
1 - Prevent teachers from discussing sexuality and topics on homosexuality, transgenderism, and sex for Kindergartners through 3rd grade. 2 - Require that topics are age-appropriate for 4th grade and on, and that they receive parental approval 3 - Allow parents to sue teachers for pushing topics onto their children that are not approved as part of the curriculum
THAT'S IT...
That is NOT radical... that is literally just ensuring that parents have control over what their children are being taught. Parents are LITERALLY paying these bills with their taxes... a concept that teachers unions and liberals don't seem to understand. The parents have say over what's taught in school.

If it’s that vague then there should be harsh punishment for a straight teacher discussing their partner, as it identifies and is a discussion on their sexual orientation.
Additionally, what would a trans teacher have to identify as? I hope there are some convincing trans teachers out there that are forced by law to confuse these children by identifying as their birth gender.
Laws like this only muddy waters and make things worse, teachers aren’t out there showing gay **** flicks to kindergarteners, although that’s what the pearl clutching bible belters would want you to believe.

Well, our values as Americans is now what ever the special interest groups demand. I foresee a federal law suit in which one person in a robe passes an edict that might eventually wind up in a higher court.
Looking down the road, don't put any faith in Desantis to turn us around when he runs for President. He traveled to a foreign country to sign a Florida state bill into law which prohibits any Floridians from doing business with the State if they exercise free speech in form of a boycott of that foreign country. He did it for the money and you can't compete with a country's money in donations.
Maybe there's a better Republican in the Florida assembly that passed the piece of legislation to support?

I can't remember, ever, not even once during the time that I was in grades 1-3 that any of my teachers ever talked to us about their sexual orientation or their gender preference. Let kids be kids... these are ideas that are forced upon them by radical leftist parents and radical leftist school teachers. JUST LET KIDS BE KIDS... stop trying to manipulate them like the Hitler Youth.

Really simply, man or woman, whichever they are or have become. If you dress up as a drag queen, it's no more appropriate for a 1st through 3rd grader than a straight female that dresses up as a crack whore, or a man that dresses up as a jiggalo as a school teacher. You're teaching kids about math, science, English, etc. Not about sex.

Here's a quick graphic of some of the books that have been banned: https://www.aclu.org/sites/...oks-912x3332-v01.jpg
You can click it and see the image yourself.
MOST of those books were banned by Democrats... e.g., Gone With the Wind, Huckelberry Finn, To Kill a Mockingbird, and other books like that because they address race and discrimination. But if you've read them, you know that they're teaching about the unfairness. Literally... To Kill a Mockingbird is a story of a black man who was asked to go bust up a "chifarobe" (whatever the hell that is), and was blamed for raping a woman. I also remember something about Boo Radley stabbing his mom, I don't know. But the dad had to ensure that the black man got a fair trial, despite the fact that the whole town was racist.
Huck Finn? Literally a story of a boy who had no animus or negative feelings towards anyone who was black, and went on adventures with a runaway slave.
Now the books that the Republicans are banning are insane. "The Joy of Sex" ... yeah, that has absolutely no business being in an elementary school library. Anyone here who's a Gen-Xer probably had parents that had this book. I know it was traumatizing to me when I found that book hidden in my parents bedroom when I was in elementary school and was like... "My parents do what???" There is no reason for this **** to be in grade school libraries. it's literally a book of how to do 100+ sexual positions.
The other books, they literally push a political narrative, either that white people are inherently bad, or that there is actually such a thing as 100 genders.
Let me tell you, I am from Miami. I probably know more transgender people than this entire board combined. *NORMAL* transgender people, or more specifically... people with gender dysphoria, do not want to be anything but one of the two genders... period. If they are a guy transitioning to a girl, they want to be known as a FEMALE. If they are a female wanting to transition into a boy, they want to be a MALE.
The problem with Democrats is that they enable psychosis... they are so scared of judgement that they will enable and "support" every bat-**** crazy thing that comes up. Like... "Pan-sexual." That's not even a thing. It's literally not even in the DSM, and pan means bread in Spanish. Pan-sexual is this new term that means that someone who is "pan" is not attracted to anyone physically, they are attracted to personality. The reality is... this is probably someone who has hard-core Aspberger's syndrome, which is quite common today. The problem is, Democrats don't like to judge or get people help, they enable mental disorders.
Anyway... as you were.

I remember when I was younger, the Left was pushing HARD to get Madonnas book into school libraries.
The book was literally a hardcore pron photo album. It was deemed safe for school by the Left. I remember all the stuff. "It's educational." "It's Art, why would you block art?" Even as far as we've regressed now decades later, it's still very aggressive pron IMO. I still believe it was just created to shock people. But the Left fell right in line. Looking at the Wiki now
quote | Sex is noted for its social and cultural impact and is considered a bold post-feminist work. |

Modonnas book, it's NSFW
I was a kid and I knew it was basically a dirty magazine in book form... I did seek it out, and I found it in our local Public Library... Well, it was in the card catalog. I'm assuming whomever was in charge had it "checked out" permanently because I couldn't locate it where it was supposed to be.
