NATO 'options' Turkey to open roster slots for Sweden and Finland. Could it happen? (Page 1/1)

The move puts the ball (so to speak) in Russia's court. NATO has cleared the path for the Russian Federation to claim Turkey off waivers in a Rule Five acquisition.Turkey would take its place alongside Syria in Russia's farm system, and compete in the Middle East-based Wagner Group league. The so-called "Date Palm" circuit.

A fictional scenario, of course, but here's Turkey's ever-irascible President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, throwing shade on the idea of Finland and Sweden being incorporated into the NATO military alliance.
