What happens when you move your supply chains to other countries, then start restricting trade with them.

The $40 billion that Congress just approved is $3 billion more (I think) than what the Biden administration originally asked for.

I do believe that the breakdown of this "mega-sized" $40 billion aid package into its various parts—how the money is going to be parceled out among the various parts of the total aid package—has been made public. The aid package comes under the purview of the State Department's Inspector Generals or IGs. It's their job to report on whether the aid that is being flowed to Ukraine is lining up with the plan that Congress just approved.

I wouldn't give credence to a single word that Rand Paul had to say about it, which is what I believe is behind this remark from WonderBoy.

I don't think that Ukraine is shaping up as another "Afghanistan", despite the administrative similarities in terms of how the military and other kinds of support is flowed and IG'd. Taking Ukraine, in comparison to Afghanistan. More differences than similarities, on the receiving end of the aid packages.
