I hope there's a mandated vaccine in canada soon. The anger has settled down way to much here in Politics and Religion.

If you're tired of being pushed around, then you are letting them push you around.
Ignore them, push them back, pizz them off - but don't be 'tired' - RESIST!

Dont think thats gonna happen.
Courts are STILL kicking the sheet out of the goobernemnt over last winter.
Actually, wouldnt surprise me at all to see dumb-sheet sock-boy resign and run like seems to be the fashion with so-called world leaders these days.
They can smell the smoke from the torches, I guess.

Get ready, MEM, and others here, for your bird-watching friends. (If you have any bird-watching friends.)
Get ready for them to say that they are members of (the) Society."
Time was, they would have called themselves members of the Audubon Society. But John James Audubon (1785-1851) is getting his Cancel Culture Comeuppance for (among other misdeeds) having been a slaveowner and an avowed white supremacist who opposed the abolition of slavery as it was practiced in the American South and in other lands of the Western Hemisphere.
So far, it's just the Seattle chapter of the National Audubon Society that has voted to renounce his name. Reading between the lines, the National Audubon Society en banc is expected to get on board and agree on a new name for themselves.
quote | The National Audubon Society, which was formed decades after Audubon died, got its name because cofounder George Bird Grinnell was tutored by John James’s widow, Lucy Audubon, in the late 1800s.
The Washington, D.C.-based Audubon Naturalist Society, which is not affiliated with the National Audubon Society, has also stated its intentions to drop the Audubon name and announce a new one in October. |

Hopefully, they will forego using any of the drawings and other information in their 'new' Society that was generated by Mr. Audubon.
You know, because of racist knowledge.
People are so crazy.

It calls for reparations. A cash settlement (TBD) for every descendant of enslaved African Americans that has been discouraged from joining any of the Audubon societies or participating in their events because of the ugly legacy of John James Audubon. A bank check drawn on the U.S. Treasury and delivered by mail carrier pigeon, with President Biden's signature.
It's only fair.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 07-29-2022).]
