I say she won't. The stop was tentative, the risk of escalation, not worth it.

I hope she comes up with a good excuse. We are only facing this quandary because there is no one on the bridge.
I have lived through 13 presidents and I don't think we have been in more peril in all my 67 years.
Our current predicament is such a jolt from the height of optimism less than three years ago. It did not have to be this way.

Pelosi won't go to Taiwan. More to lose than to gain. It could further roil the markets and cause the value of her stocks and other investments to go down.

If she DOES visit they risk retaliation and starting a shooting war.
If she DOESNT, they "loose face" and become an even bigger-weaker joke than they already are. Just a simp to be pushed around.

Interestingly, this is one of those times I'm in total agreement with you. While I wasn't amazed or shocked when the Dems selected her as Speaker (again). I was hoping they'd figure out what a power whore she is......................

I would not be surprised to learn that she has something worked out, some clandestine deal with China.
She just might be giving them something that is not hers to give. She does nothing that doesn't feather her bed.
