I wouldn't begin to know how to interpret this without a historical database of the Debt vs GDP ratio.
If I were going to get into this, I would start by seeing if any of my "faves" have anything to say about. Paul Krugman. Austan Goolsbee. Robert Reich. Just the first three names that pop into my head.

Hang with dumazzes, become a dumbazz.
Todd, math was my worst subject in school. I am smart enough to realize our debt will be passed onto your grand kids. (Sort of how Social Security and Medicare work.) I am also smart enough to know that I can not spend more than I earn.
What I am unsure about, but believe, ..., is that GDP does not equal taxes generated by said GDP.[This message has been edited by cliffw (edited 08-02-2022).]
