Could Russia be invaded? (Page 1/3)

Posted in this section, because it will likely end up here, anyway.
So... everything I've seen, lately, seems to indicate that the Russians are running scared.
Here's just one link.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/ne...-flag-abandon-towns/

I've been reading lots of stuff, for months (yeah... I know. It's the internet. It's got to be true), that would seem to indicate that the Russians are dispirited, poorly trained, and disinterested, and likely inept. Whatever the reason, they seem to be dying by the thousands.
If that's the case, might this not give some enterprising country pause to consider, if only briefly, that possibly they could capture a not-so-small chunk of Russian real-estate?

Admittedly, this is not well thought out, and might seem absurd. But stranger things have happened.

Thoughts?

See... That's the rub. They're not going to want to nuke their own territory.
And if they nuke... whoever, it's probably going to be close by. Lots of unpleasant "what ifs" for them.

If the Russian military really is depleted, the smartest thing Ukraine can do after re-securing Crimea is to quickly invade Russia and take control of several nuclear missile silos. Hold Moscow hostage with the threat of launching them, while simultaneously taking several of the warheads back to Ukraine.

Remember, Ukraine is in this mess because they gave up their nuclear weapons after the Soviet Union fell. Once they become a nuclear power once again, much like North Korea, nobody will dare invade for threat of mutually assured destruction. They don't need enough nukes to take out the entirety of Russia, just Moscow, that's where the decision makers and their money are.

Nobody thought Saddam was gonna light up his own oil wells either.

Okay. You get it.
This is kind of along the lines I was thinking. But it wouldn't even necessarily have to be Ukraine. Could be anyone in the "neighborhood".

Invading Russia with winter approaching? Umm ...

OK, guys...Ol' Joe needs an October surprise. Don't give him any ideas.

Actually, I could see this happening with you and me footing the bill. Sometimes, I'm glad I am old. Nobody is going to win this one.

You could see Georgia moving against the regions within Georgia where the Russians helped Russian separatists to "set up shop." Quite some years ago, already.

Or, you could see the Azerbaijanis moving against the Armenian-dominated enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh. As the Russians have tended to support the Armenian side.

I think those possibilities are more likely than any invasions of Russia itself.

I don't think they are very likely. But only because I have no information to make me think they are very likely.

Is anyone else on the vastness of the Internet talking like this about it?

Could Russia be invaded ?
The short answer is : no, duh.
The vast steppe.
The other answer is
' That depends, on the attacking force's demonstrated military strength, and the will to use it. '
A war of energy reserves, the exact opposite of what Biden_Joe is, uh, allowing,
while he is colluding with Russian Intelligence, a Putin stooge, obviously, like, duh... er... doh.

' We have a maniac in the White House ! '
' An insane imbecile. '
fjb permanently.
' Yeah ! '
fjb real good.
