Elon Musk buying Twitter ‘puts our democracy at stake.’ (Page 1/1)

I love this article...

Specifically... because it makes me realize how scared Democrats are that they can no longer silence free speech. Here are some fantastic nuggets:

"With Elon Musk on track to own Twitter Inc. as early as next week, civil-rights organizations voiced fear that hate speech, extremism and misinformation could increase on the platform just before the midterm elections."

Translation: We can no longer control the narrative.

"With the midterm elections about a month away, changes at Twitter could affect the dissemination of election-related misinformation, said Evan Feeney, deputy senior campaign director at the racial-justice organization Color of Change."

Translation: We can no longer control the narrative.

"Musk “controlling every aspect” of Twitter “underscores the crisis we’re facing across tech companies when a single billionaire is in charge,” Feeney said. “It puts our democracy at stake.

Translation: We had no problem with this when it was a liberal billionaire, but now this is going to be a major problem for us... we can no longer control the narrative.

Twitter reaches more than just its users,” said Jelani Drew-Davi, campaigns director for Kairos Action, an organization that works on campaigns that involve technology, racial justice and democracy. “It’s a place of huge global and political significance.

Translation: Which we can no longer control!

"“We should all be terrified” of a possible rollback of that progress, said Bridget Todd, communications director at UltraViolet, in a statement."

Translation: Republicans and non-Democrats will be able to share facts that we cannot block!

Well, I'm wrong again on a stock pick. I was sure this deal was 'completely dead' whereas now it seems it was merely 'mostly dead.' If he really closes the deal, it will be interesting to see the number of Whistle Blowers come forth into the light of day.

I've had the "privilege" of causing watching many leftist melt-downs.

It really is funny seeing a (supposedly) grown adult throwing a 4-year-old temper tantrum just because they cant have their favorite flavor of dictatorship.

Personally, I love it when they decide to call the cops when "offended". Makes them look like twice as big a foot-stomping child.

When all of this "buying Twitter" stuff started the lefties lost it and were posting the most vile, hate filled crap they could to apparently show us how evil freedom of speech was.

It was really telling I think.

I'd love to see him buy Google. The biggest censorship company in the world. You can't even voice your opinion on Youtube videos without their pathetic system pulling your comment within 1 minute.
