I only know about the Arizona Gubernatorial campaign because the media has focused on it... never the less, I thought it was odd that Katie Hobbs outright refused to debate Kari Lake. Then I saw this clip...
... and I realized why. While it's hurting Katie to not debate... I think they realize that her experience in the media, being in front of a group and being questioned (as a former reporter / news caster) is not something really anyone could overcome. As much as it's a losing strategy, I actually think there's no way it benefits Katie Hobbs at all to debate her, and I think both she and her campaign advisors know it.
She really roasted that reporter though... I mean... ouch... the girl is left speechless, like... she doesn't even realize the extent to which she was insulted. I noticed that Kari held her hand firmly, and wouldn't let go, until after she made sure the reporter fully acknowledged what she was saying... and then let her go.

Next to Ron DeSantis, she would be an AWESOME Governor of California.

We don't know yet HOW Kari Lake would be as a governor, but I suspect she'll be pretty spectacular, that's just my guess based on her goals and desire for change on the issues that are actually important to most of us. When I look at both of them, DeSantis and Lake... I see similar experiences. Both of them have significant experience in public debate. Kari Lake as a reporter / host, and Ron DeSantis as a lawyer / JAG. Both require some level of debate and public speaking exposure, and they both have that. It's also something that Trump had... it's also something that Ronald Reagan had.
I'm excited to see what Kari Lake does in Arizona next year... and if she's as good as I think she's going to be, I'd think she'd make a fantastic Vice President.
I like DeSantis a lot... he's my Governor, but I don't know that I want to lose him yet either.

She talks a good game, but she is unproven. Just like Trump.
It didn't take Trump long to win me over. I hope Lake can do the same.
I learned my lesson when Paul Ryan replaced John Boehner. That was the last time I expected any politician to fix anything.
The biggest thing here that needs attention is our election system. The border is, of course, a big issue; but I think we are doing what we can, given the policy of the Biden regime.

Elections ??
You guys think there are "Free" elections ? BULL-KAKAKA. Great big heaps of it.
This is all orchestrated, and has been since WW1.
Haven't you noticed the pattern ?
Lefties will get power for 2-3 terms and do MAJOR damage to individual liberty. Rights will get get the power for a term or 2 and make a GREAT big show of reversing the damage the lefties have done, but in reality undo only a 1/4 or so of it. Repeat pattern. and again.
It's 3 steps towards zero freedom and total control, one step back. 3 towards, one back. THAT never changes. The faces and names might, but the plan never does. It's all theater.[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 10-21-2022).]

LOL, you guys act like newsome is proven? This guy has only proven that he can degrade a State. It would quite literally be a challenge to find a worse person to Govern California.

I think that has more to do with the psychology of the masses. Vast majority of people don't even know who the Vice President of the United States is. I don't even know who the second in command is after Trudeau in Canada. So people are generally ignorant.
I have friends who's parents literally fled Cuba, with their grandparents having been slaughtered... but these friends are ultra-radical leftist and believe Communism is awesome because the media and everyone else tells them that their parents are overreacting and this time Communism / Socialism will be different.
That's why you have a perpetual "swing" ... and it's always been like this. Who was it that said, freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction? This basically defines this confluence of idiocy and the perpetual pendulum swing back and forth.
There have been world power brokers... but I'm not sure any of them from WW1 still remain today (in any kind of reasonable form)... we didn't even have the WEF more than 10 years ago. I'm hoping God takes eye-bags "SS Nazi Soros" back soon, and I doubt his son will be as polished as he is and will probably squander that money quickly. It'll be a new group of globalist leaders trying to take over the world through one way or another.

Subtle yet very effective "power move".
The other one is to grasp someone's hand in a handshake and then grasp their elbow with your other hand and pull them slightly closer to you.
Or, shake their hand and place you other hand very firmly on their opposite shoulder. Hold them in place even after you stop shaking their hand.
Lock eyes with them like a laser beam and never look away until they do or they cast their eyes downward.
You are in small effect controlling the other person's body and establishing dominance.
Yes, many politicians receive training in these techniques.[This message has been edited by randye (edited 10-24-2022).]
