And the left go bat crazy, because they want to control the message and not have freedom of thought and expression.
This is a huge deal and a win for the average people.
The left is running this lie of a narrative with their usual fear mongering.

Maybe it's the "right" going bat crazy imagining that the "left" is going bat crazy about Musk and Twitter.
I know who probably couldn't persuade me otherwise.

Musk has already announced that he plans to fire approx. 75% of the useless deadwood at Twatter after the close of his purchase.
If you want a real belly laugh you should read the demand letter that Twatter employees then drafted to Musk.
It's a hoot.
Apparently the Leftoid simps that "work" at Twatter have never grasped the concept that in order to make demands on someone you have to first be in a position of some kind of relative power to back up your demands. They aren't.
Here's the letter:
Staff, Elon Musk, and Board of Directors:
We, the undersigned Twitter workers, believe the public conversation is in jeopardy.
Elon Musk’s plan to lay off 75% of Twitter workers will hurt Twitter’s ability to serve the public conversation. A threat of this magnitude is reckless, undermines our users’ and customers’ trust in our platform, and is a transparent act of worker intimidation.
Twitter has significant effects on societies and communities across the globe. As we speak, Twitter is helping to uplift independent journalism in Ukraine and Iran, as well as powering social movements around the world.
A threat to workers at Twitter is a threat to Twitter’s future. These threats have an impact on us as workers and demonstrate a fundamental disconnect with the realities of operating Twitter. They threaten our livelihoods, access to essential healthcare, and the ability for visa holders to stay in the country they work in. We cannot do our work in an environment of constant harassment and threats. Without our work, there is no Twitter.
We, the workers at Twitter, will not be intimidated. We recommit to supporting the communities, organizations, and businesses who rely on Twitter. We will not stop serving the public conversation.
We call on Twitter management and Elon Musk to cease these negligent layoff threats. As workers, we deserve concrete commitments so we can continue to preserve the integrity of our platform.
We demand of current and future leadership:
Respect: We demand leadership to respect the platform and the workers who maintain it by committing to preserving the current headcount.
Safety: We demand that leadership does not discriminate against workers on the basis of their race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or political beliefs. We also demand safety for workers on visas, who will be forced to leave the country they work in if they are laid off.
Protection: We demand Elon Musk explicitly commit to preserve our benefits, those both listed in the merger agreement and not (e.g. remote work). We demand leadership to establish and ensure fair severance policies for all workers before and after any change in ownership.
Dignity: We demand transparent, prompt and thoughtful communication around our working conditions. We demand to be treated with dignity, and to not be treated as mere pawns in a game played by billionaires.
Sincerely,
Twitter workers

This is the most interesting line in my opinion. 5-6 years ago, Democrats insisted that the burqa and hijab were signs of democracy and freedom. That Iran is now protesting nationally that the hijab must go... they must be confused and hesitant to jump on this so quickly. I watch these protests and follow a few people from Iran because of this. I see no Democrats responding to any of those Tweets. As a matter of fact, they are asking for a special emoji like Twitter gave to Black Lives Matter, and they won't do it. The Democrats are so fake here...

Apparently, this is a fake article... but it's still a real thing that Democrats believe. The original heading came from the National Hispanic Media Coalition (which is a Democrat front group)... and definitely out of touch since most Hispanics in America are not Republican.

quote | Elon Musk’s Takeover of Twitter Threatens Our Democracy
April 25, 2022
A Statement by Brenda V. Castillo, President & CEO, National Hispanic Media Coalition
Elon Musk, SpaceX and Tesla Founder, has yet again exploited his privilege as a billionaire to purchase and take over Twitter, subject only to a shareholder vote following Twitter’s board’s approval. As we continue to see hate and disinformation multiply on online platforms, NHMC is concerned that Musk’s control of Twitter will reverse content moderation practices meant to protect the public from harm.
As the richest man in the world, Musk was eager to use his leverage and wealth to circumvent content moderation practices. His previous attempt to control Twitter by becoming a majority shareholder did not allow for the autonomy he wished for, so he used his immense net worth to silence opposition and acquire Twitter for around $44 billion in cash.
As we inch closer to the 2022 midterm elections, the Latino community continues to be a target for disinformation, hate, harassment, and conspiracy theories. However, Musk’s potential disregard of his responsibility to – in good faith– remove such harmful conduct could likely lead to the endangerment of the public and marginalized groups such as Latinx. Musk ignores how unregulated disinformation has led to fear and hate campaigns that resulted in real-world violence, such as the El Paso Massacre and the January 6 Insurrection.
Today is another day in our nation where the benefactors of privilege and systemic inequality have flexed their financial muscle – and today’s takeover could pave the way for the continuous exploitation of historically and intentionally underrepresented people on social media. It is disheartening to see the power of immense wealth exercised with such a blatant disregard for the marginalized communities, all for profit. NHMC believes that social media platforms must adequately use their authority to remove dangerous content that is harmful to its users and the general public. Therefore, we condemn the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk and stand ready to hold him accountable as he poses a threat to our community, our safety, and our democracy.
Yours in the Movement,
Brenda Victoria Castillo

Whenever the left says "Democracy", just replace it with "Democrats" and it will make perfect sense.

Yeah, otherwise it's confusing why sometimes they are so worried about the Democracy and other times they couldn't give a rat's patoot.
