I have my doubts about ESG belonging to the "Woke" category of things.

I only have questions.

Is there a threshold that a company has to have at least "x" employees or "y" of annual revenue, otherwise this ESG reporting requirement does not apply to what would be a smaller (below threshold) company?

Is the ESG reporting requirement only for companies that are publicly traded on stock markets?

Are there special ESG requirements for companies that have (or seek) government contracts?

Looks like the "Help with ESG reporting requirements" is becoming a growth industry. I hope any companies that are doing it will not fall down on their own ESG reporting requirements, as that would be a real travesty, wouldn't it? "We're a 'Help with ESG reporting requirements' firm that needs help with our ESG reporting requirements..."

ESGs are basically a form of social credit monitoring for companies... and for private investment firms, they base a lot of their decision-making processes on whether a company (that needs funding) has a good ESG score.

I think ESG based financial decisions are a violation of fiduciary responsibility to shareholders.

What they are doing is forcing "the agenda" via finance....and give it 3 years or so until EVERY business of ANY sort has to comply.

One-man operation building decks and fences ? No lumberyard credit card or contractor account unless you comply. Run a bakery ? No ingredients unless you comply. A few years of that and get used to reporting on your personal habits (drive a pick-up ? PROVE you need it or no new car loan)

We have already seen them attack the bank accounts of those who dare speak out against them, now they are doing it to those who refuse to "go green, go inclusive, go stupid"

Lets call it exactly what it is....A hostage situation. Cancel culture found a new way of forcing itself onto the whole country. Credit card companies are already doing it to gun-related sales. Now multiply that by anything and everything.

If we could ONLY figure out who created all these medical and housing shortages and social interaction issues by treating immigration like it was some sort of competition to get the highest numbers.

When oceans aren't enough you need a wall......and maybe a vaccine.
