When land Marx melts, sea levels rise. CO2 emissions + climate prediction software. (Page 1/1)

This is a meme that's been posted on at least two different (but recent) days by two different forum members:

It's a Marxberg, and as such, it is sea Marx. It is already floating in an ocean and is already displacing seawater, and so it is already part of the currently recorded sea levels around the world. It is already melting, but its melting does not add (or subtract) from sea level. Even when it has completely melted and all of its ice has phase transitioned to water and become seawater, sea level will not be any higher because it melted. That is because even when it first calved off the continental Marxpack as it flowed from the interior of Antarctica (or Greenland) to the coastline, and first became a Marxberg, it was already displacing an amount of sea water equal to its mass. Its mass doesn't change as it melts. It's always the same amount of water, whether it is water that's frozen (ice) or water that's liquid (water).

This, however, is land Marx. It's part of the global Marxpack that covers land areas, Antarctica and Greenland being the two "biggies".

When this ice sculpture of Karl Marx melts because of the warm air temperatures caused by CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions, the water will flow (one way or another) all the way to the oceans. It may become atmospheric water vapor, and then return to the land or to the oceans as rain or snow (there will still be some snow, even as far out as year 2100), but the net effect is that the water that's frozen in this ice sculpture of Karl Marx will become seawater and so it will become a sea level rise.

That may seem insignificant, but it has to be multiplied by the total mass of all of the ice sculptures of Karl Marx that are to be found on every continent where there are ice sculptures of Karl Marx. "Do the math."

Funny, after R.I.'s post, this ad came up:

Perfect to follow that post.

It'll probably melt because of that picture on the wall in R.I.'s living room is getting R.I. and -it's- fellow ideologues hot and bothered knowing soon animal love and marriage will soon be legal under the $ick cult.

Software.

It does what the developer says to do.
