The Left has been touting for years to gain censorship control of social media and to form a 'Ministry of Truth', as the left has been brainwashed to believe that disinformation and Russian bots are a THREAT to DEMOCRACY. In fact, the left were so upset, that they blame the Russians and disinformation campaign as the reason why Trump stole the election from Hillary in 2016.
Well, well, well.... A study has came out.
NYU's Center for Social Media & Politics concluded their multi-year study and found. (Leftist University by the way).
There is “no evidence” Russian Twitter bots had any meaningful effect pushing voters to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
The NYU study found that Russia’s Twitter campaign had no effect in part because barely anyone saw it. Moreover, to the extent anyone ever saw the Russian tweets, it was people who weren’t going to be easily influenced anyway
“We demonstrate, first, that exposure to Russian disinformation accounts was heavily concentrated: only 1% of users accounted for 70% of exposures,” the scholars wrote.

What is (was) the "MSM Leftist lie"..?
I've read many Mainstream Media or MSM reports about the Putin-backed disinformation campaign to manipulate social media during the 2016 national elections.
I can't recall reading a New York Times or Washington Post report or anything of that kind, that definitively asserted that the Russian social media manipulations were a decisive factor in the election of Donald J. Trump, instead of Hillary Clinton, as the 45th President of the United States.
I read speculation in the Mainstream Media that the Russian social media "games" could have been a significant factor in shaping the elections outcome. And in the very same Mainstream Media reports, I also read about the difficulty and perhaps even the impossibility of any scientific determination of how effective the Russia efforts actually were, or if even the smallest actual consequence could be scientifically attributed to any of the Russian elections-meddling activities.

Social media is rife with these kinds of delusions. This is a "right wing" version of it. There are also various "left wing" versions of it. Maybe that's what Wichita has in mind, but Wichita's talking about Social Media in its various forms and formats and the people who inhabit Social Media. Wichita is NOT talking (or not talking accurately) about the Mainstream Media, which I would describe as the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC News and so on and so forth.
