Jimmy is a good man. I hope he doesn't have a difficult time. He deserves his rest.

I've never liked what he did as a President, but he was truly a kind person, and he showed that by his class, commitment to serving, and enthusiasm after his presidency.

At the relatively tender age of 28, Jimmy Carter had a key role in responding to a nuclear reactor that had malfunctioned (badly) towards the end of 1952.
The nuclear reactor was in Canada's Ontario province, at the locality of Chalk River.
This is 6 minutes and 17 seconds of video content. The narrator is Rachel Maddow.

That was pretty interesting. Thanks for posting it. I was unaware of this incident.

Basically, this is what I would say about Mr. Carter.....I always thought he was the wrong man to deal with the Iran crisis- but our country has definitely NEVER dealt with Iran correctly.
Mr. Carter is a very honorable, inteligent, good man- we are lucky to have had him in our country...

Jimmy Carter has always come across as a caring human being, very genuine and down to earth. Such a contrast to the hucksterism that unfortunately pervades so much of the political environment.
