Only this time, it's the advanced weapons from 2100 that are time-jumped back to our present, to disarm the communist nations, deterring their imperialist ambitions.
At the end of the movie, peace is restored on Earth, the nuke war is avoided, then the communists resign, open and fair elections return to the US, and China holds their first.
Donald Trump's son Barron is invited to run the enterprise that is the Chinese People's Constitutional Republic for a term of twelve years, to get some changes done.
Without a reason to spend on military, tax revenue is diverted to domestic education, reformed to no longer teach the attributes of foreign political philosophy.
' Just say no to marx ! '
Then so, we all lived happily ever after in the the most productive land on Earth.

Time for a remake I think, it's been 43 years.

Still one of my favorites. Not because it's a particularly good movie, just the memories it brings back.

I had busted my arm playing soccer and when the hospital let me go instead of going home dad took me to see it at Fiesta mall in Stoney Creek. Timing just worked out right so we only missed the 1st couple minutes. I had a hella time trying to handle popcorn, pop and candy with a freshly casted arm.

I can't believe I've never heard of this movie!

When I first saw the YouTube / Image Link, I assumed this was that movie where a WW2 battleship (or destroyer) goes into the future. I can't remember what that movie was called (maybe you guys can help), but somehow the ship came out of some portal or something, and the crew members were all messed up... like, some of them had major deformaties, some of them were sticking out of the decking... meaning like, their bodies re-formed through the portal half-way into the ship... I can't remember what that movie was called... but it was crazy. Anyone remember?

I definitely have to watch this movie...

You have it just about right, but a carrier goes back to WWII. It is a fun movie, not great, but entertaining.
There is a plot twist at the end that you might like.

edit: I think the movie you are thinking of is in the post above the one you quoted.

Still not as good as hot zombie lesbo killer nuns shotguning mobsters.

There is another, low budget B-movie of the same name, ' The Philadelphia Experiment '.
A horrible remake, that be-spoils the script, and storyline.

making right what was wrong in the past.
Messing with the timelines of the monsters of the 20th century,
ending them in well deserved confrontations.

I've found another, a third ' Philadelphia Experiment 2 ', also not so good.
