California... (Page 1/1)

I had no idea that California had gotten so bad. I was watching a documentary, forget now how I even got to it, but it stated that from 2020-2022, the state of California had lost over 800k+ people. That's not to say that 800k people moved out and X-number moved in... there were millions that moved out, but the net loss was 800k. The others who had moved in were illegals (which were being counted to offset the loss).

It is unbelievable that California... which in the 1980s, everyone wanted to move to, is not considered the **** -hole of the country. There have been hundreds of companies moving out, and this leads to fewer and fewer jobs, which creates a cyclic problem of more companies moving out.

I keep seeing responses about how "fantastic" California still is... and I think these people realize that they inherited this success from Republicans. How on Earth could Democrats have destroyed it so rapidly?

Even back in the '70s, as soon as you crossed the river, you could tell. It was like going from Florida to Alabama in the '60s.

Phoenix is a big city, with all of the problems of a big city, but all I have to do is spend a couple of days in LA, and Phoenix becomes the most beautiful place on earth.

Florida is a whole other thing. Florida was ruled by Democrats until just recently. It was 100% Democrat until 1998, when they got their first fully elected Republican Governor. The other Republican governors that Florida had in their history was because the previous Democrat governor had resigned amid scandal... and that was a decade or more before.

I know I've said this before, but when I moved to Florida in 1996... the place was like moving a decade into the past. Infrastructure was so far behind anything I'd seen in Northern Virginia where I went to high school. There was crime, people on the streets smoking crack, Davie was the Southern KKK headquarters, and you had to watch where you drove or you'd get mugged. But since that time, Florida has slowly improved to the point where it is now... and the state is like a completely different place. There is not a SINGLE Democrat that holds a state-elected seat. Every position is now held by a Republican. We outnumber Democrats by over 600k as of right now... both from Democrats who have changed their registration to Republican, to people who have moved here and registered Republican.

Just so you can mentally prepare yourself, The Land of Fruits and Nuts will be supplying another President in 2028 or so, namely, Nancy Pelosi's nephew, who can bring the same Successful California Policies to the good 'ol US of A.
