I think she has more immediate things to worry about...
Kind of like the Veronica Lake drill press picture.[This message has been edited by williegoat (edited 07-21-2023).]

Back in my first year of high school, 1968, long hair was popular with boys and girls alike. I remember the shop teacher scaring the absolute crap out of us with tales of what the drill press and/or lathe would do to us if it ever caught hold of our hair!Looking back, I could never be a high school shop teacher. I wouldn't want to be the one responsible for trying to prevent these young dumb kids from totally messing themselves up.

When I was in High School, I worked at a movie theater. Back then, movies came in on five or six little reels and part of my job as a projectionist was to splice them together onto two big reels, then break them back down when the run was done.
We used a hand driven rewinder that was geared up so the reels were spinning very fast and had a lot of momentum once up to speed.
One late night I was breaking a movie down after everyone had gone home. I was fading fast and getting sloppy. I leaned in too close to the reel and ended up taking out a patch of scalp just like the girl in your link.
My hair was as long then as it is now.

Looks like one of my ex's sex toys.
With a smaller battery.

The hair is an obvious problem. But I'm not sure this tool is ideal for the job at hand. Looks like she's cutting a 2x4 or a 2x6. I mean, I suppose it would work, but for marketing purposes... probably would have made more sense to show her cutting small tree branches rather than doing something in a wood shop.
