No. Try this:

"Discovery of Gamma Rays from the Quiescent Sun with HAWC"

There's a much better report for non-specialist readers such as myself. (I won't speak for MidEngineManiac.)

"Solar Surprise: Scientists Discover Unprecedented High-Energy Light Coming From the Sun"

By saying "Cow farts and 4x4's" MidEngineManiac has suggested a link with Global Warming.

I think it's too early to say whether this new discovery will be linked in any way with Global Warming, but I think there are already signs that this will not overturn the scientific consensus that human attributable carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions are the most important factor that's causing Global Warming.

Although the high-energy light doesn’t reach the Earth’s surface, these gamma rays create telltale signatures that were detected by Nisa and her colleagues working with the High-Altitude Water Cherenkov Observatory, or HAWC.

I won't say that this rules out some kind of linkage with global warming, but it cannot be a direct effect of this very high energy solar radiation.

The other question is whether this very high energy solar radiation that's just been discovered is a recent phenomenon that lines up on a timescale with the onset of post-industrial global warming, or whether it's already been happening continually, or cyclically, for hundreds of thousands, millions or even billions of years.

I don't expect to see it being linked with post-industrial global warming, or with any of the current weather extremes. I think the odds are against that. But I'll be on the lookout for any signs that this new discovery is becoming part of the conversation about global warming and climate change.

There are likely better reports than this one on YouTube, but the "Electric Viking" actually does a respectable job of explaining it with "visuals."

This is the one report that features a "maxed out" Electric Vehicles boffin who speaks with an Australian English accent.

The full presentation is 9 minutes and "change."

He's being silly when he implies or hints at some connection involving this very recent discovery about the sun, the continuing work (by humans) on energy from nuclear fusion, and the extreme hot weather around the world that has been characteristic of the Northern Hemisphere's summer of 2023; July 2023, especially. Extreme hot weather that has even reached into the Southern Hemisphere, during what is the Southern Hemisphere's winter season.
