Only 40 of 89 US Federal District courts have a majority of judges appointed by Democrats
Only 5 of 12 Federal District Courts have a majority of judges appointed by Democrats.
The Supreme Court of the United States has a 6-3 majority of Republican appointed Judges.
Back in 2020 when Trump was filing multiple court cases to challenge the election the numbers were much MORE in favor of Republicans because Biden has appointed over 100 federal judges since taking office.
Republicans are going to run into some big problems when they start calling out Republican judges and all jurors who rule against Trump.

I will have to double my daily dose of 'smart pills'.
The leftoids decided to end the "nuclear option, Harry Reed". Thanks !
Now, they are counseling to prosecute political opponents.

I don't think you got my point.
The DOJ can not convict anyone. That has to happen at a trial presided over by a judge and jury. Then any appeals will have to be heard by panels of judges.
So if Trump gets convicted there is a good chance his final appeal (and maybe even some of the trials) will be in Federal Courts. In fact I am pretty sure that the Georgia case will end up in federal court. Some of the defendants will probably claim that they were acting in their capacity as federal employees, and that issue will need to be decided in a federal court. I am pretty sure it would be the Northern Georgia District Court. The Chief Justice there, Timothy Batten, is a Republican Appointee.
Any Appeal from that District Court would go to the 11th Circuit Court. The Chief Justice there, William Pryor, is also a Republican appointee. An appeal would be heard by a panel of judges and a majority of the judges in the 11th Circuit were appointed by Republicans.
Any appeal from the 11th Circuit or the Georgia Supreme Court would go to the United States Supreme Court which has a 6-3 Republican majority.
It is going to get harder to sell the "persecuted by the left" line if Republican Judges keep ruling against Trump. A large majority of the cases and appeals filed after the elction were shot down by Republican judges. Even the Supreme Court ruled against Trump in Trump v Vance
Republicans who pick Trump over the rulings of Republican judges are basically wiping their arse with the Constitution.

Oh, I do get your point. And motivation. I thought attorneys sought the truth.

Correct. The DOJ can direct energy into a prosecution, or discourage prosecution. What do they call that ?

There is is a good chance ? It is an absolute.

Does a Chief Justice decide the price of tea in China ? There are a panel of Justices. Conservatists where upset that Chief Justice of SCOTUS John Roberts changed to language of OBAMACARE so it could pass scrutiny.

What the hell ? In 2010, President Obama condemned the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission ruling, stating, "Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests – including foreign corporations – to spend without limit in our elections." Justice Samuel Alito was seen frowning and mouthing the words "not true" when Obama criticized the Supreme Court.

yes I know there is a panel. That is why I pointed out that a majority of the Judges in the 11th Circuit were Republican appointees. It is likely that a majority of the panel will be from Trumps party.

I don't ask for links to support every statement anyone makes. I only do it when I think someone posts something that is not true.
Got a link to confirm Roberts did this?[This message has been edited by fredtoast (edited 08-27-2023).]

I have no idea what this has to do with anything I posted. Obama never claimed that the judicial system was so corrupt that even his own party was against him.
