Did you hear ?
A student going to school had a Gadson Flag patch on his backpack. He was told to remove it by his teacher. He informed his Mom.
She demanded a meeting with his teacher. His Mom asked why. The teacher said it represented to founding of the United States which was involved in slavery and that it was a distraction to the school body.
His Mom schooled his teacher, (on video) telling her it had nothing to do with slavery. That it was a Revolutionary War for independence. Which all slaves aspire for, some even fighting in the Revolutionary War.
His teacher, who was supposed to be educating him, needed an education.
The school board originally backed the teacher. They needed the same education. The court of public opinion changed their minds.
Who says roaches don't scatter when the lights are turned on ?

Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D), the current and 43rd governor of Colorado, weighed in on the Gadsden Flag episode.
Jared Polis is as leftist as they come. He's a "leftist's leftist."

The issue, as I see it, is that the schools in Colorado need to re evaluate who they allow to influence their children. This is not the first time this forum has discussed the questionable influence that some teachers in Colorado have on impressionable young people.

I was incredulous when I heard a school board in California, about gender rights being an issue in schools, say we will not let people dictate to "our children".
Children do not belong to the schools. If so, let them pay for food, housing, medical care, and quit making the children's real parents pay to baby sit their children.

That's an issue of substance, for Colorado and the nation.
My immediate issue, however, was the banality of "Einstein" that has been so abundantly evident on this forum for at least the last couple of years, if memory serves me... ergo, my previous remark.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 08-31-2023).]

I guess, ya and the rest of yer kind of kind of missing the message that flag sends....
Let me translate the Gadsden "Dont tread on me"...it means...shut your mouth, go away and mind your own biz.
It's not open to discussion. It's not open to debate. It means if you want to keep your teeth shut up and walk away...
It means you are going places you really dont want to.
I wear one on my hat every-single-day.[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 08-31-2023).]
