I just saw that MidEngineManiac has been banned. What happened?
I know that certain people from the other side of the aisle didn't like his posts but his rating was decent and I didn't see anything within those posts that warranted an administrative ban.
Did I miss something?

Would that be the "aisle" that separates the sound of mind, from the certifiably insane?
Among the infantile and extremely vulgar remarks that MidEngineManiac repeated a few times recently was this:
quote | Cops are good for only one thing. The pictures of dead ones are great for wiping your ass after a Taco Bell squirts run. |

If I were the owner of a forum like this, that would be a kind of rhetoric that I would not tolerate.
I think there's even more of a backstory to this, but it's not something I want to be talking about, myself.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 09-18-2023).]

Yes Rinse. We all know that like a good leftist, you support the suppression of any free speech said by those that you personally disagree with and it's so manly of you to speak as if you owned the forum but we all know much worse has been said within these walls and often by you and those you politically align yourself with.
What I was asking was what merited the banning of MEM. If you don't know, it's ok to say so without making it a attack upon those on the right side of the aisle or upon MEM himself.[This message has been edited by otakudude (edited 09-18-2023).]

I think I'm kind of done... I waste way too much time on here talking to people like Fred who are ideologically broken. You'll see me in the tech, but I really just don't see the point with arguing with 2 or 3 people who are simply built different from me.

He was always teetering on the edge. Is it not possible that he just got one more neg from someone? I believe I have/had him as neutral, but when I do rate, it’s rarely just one comment but more of a sum of the parts.

That wasn't an attack on the "right side of the aisle."
I offered my opinion about what it was—or some of what it was—that prompted Cliff Pennock to change MidEngineManiac's status from "Member" to "User Banned."
That seemed to be the kind of response you were looking for... an explanation of why MEM was banned.
I did not receive any private or "behind the scenes" communique from Cliff Pennock about this, so it can only be my opinion.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 09-18-2023).]
