It's fairly interesting. I stopped about 10 minutes in because I want to spend a bit more time with it. I've been going through all of Karl Jaspers' books. He was a famous philosopher that believed in things like Moral Subjectivism and Existentialism. I'd never heard of Kant before, but I'll listen.
I think, at least talking about the first few concepts the narrator discusses... is I agree on the concept that everyone has a different perception of the world. This was something I just assumed everyone knew. Take colors and sight for example. We all assume that say, the color orange or the color green are identical to all of us... perhaps they are to a degree... but do we know that everyone sees color exactly the same? It's quite possible that what we're seeing might be a deviation of that color, but we recognize it as the color that everyone else does because we're taught this. Perception is very much based on the way people are raised, and their exposure to different influences. This is one of the reasons why whenever I go on a trip, whether it be international or even just local... I try to learn and understand people... what motivates them, and what keeps them waking up every morning.

Don't know any of you guys here, but any of you interested in philosophy would probably enjoy "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". Mixture of philosophy and a father/son road trip story. [This message has been edited by BingB (edited 12-10-2023).]

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant Who was very rarely stable Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar Who could think you under the table
David Hume could out-consume Schopenhauer and Hegel And Wittgenstein was a beery swine Who was just as sloshed as Schlegel
